Nah.. the bet is good. I would love for them to pull out first in the group, however, I'm a bigger England fan than USA. Only because I lived there for a little while and that's where I learned to play for the most part. I'm a Liverpool fanboy... Always have, always will be.

one of my Yank clan mates the other day and he told an intersting fact were
more schools in the US play soccer more than NFL football which tbh totally surprised me

I just wish it wasn't in the sport, it ruins it so much. I still like the game but god divers annoy me, and now you can rarely tell if someone has been hurt or not, and there can be some pretty nasty tackles.

I know a lot of people who disliked the sport after that (casual fans), they couldn't believe a game could be decided like that, either way. I'm talking about people though who only watched it because we were one a really good run(relative to how we normally go lol).

Also I would love to see u.s beat england, just for the reactions it would cause.

I embrace a lot of American culture and all but Baseball and Basketball are terrible to watch. Not as bad as NASCAR though, christ.

I dont think that group is easy, Mexico is a pretty good team, South Africa are the hosts and played quite well at the Confederations Cup and Uruguay has very talented players. If you want an easy group look at F and H

Yes, don;t get me wrong I do not approve of it either. Unfortunately it's pretty much settled itself as a "tactical" part of the game. I'd rather a fair game all around but without video evidence at the time or the ability to challenge calls like in the NFL I cannot see anything being done about it.

I persionally believe the reason for this is so that all the dodgy decisions cannot be reviewed. Does anyone really think FIFA wanted Ireland at the World Cup over France or any of the other "big" nations?

But the cover of 'The Sun' pissed me off today. It's typical English people bragging about the national team. It ****** me off because some people do that, as do the England team and media people, and then they mostly fail, and it just makes me laugh.

Anyway, I respect the US national team because a lot of people doubt them, but they always grind down and put in their best.

football is the most played sport in america, its just that when they get to college all the athletes stop playing football in favour for another sport, becuase all the money is in NFL basketball etc etc
