I sold my ps2 recently on ebay to get some $$ for my WII and PS3 (I have a 360 already, no fanboy here...)
Question: Will guitar hero 2 work on the ps3 at launch? Will the guitar be compatible?

07-07-2006 #4Yes, but it lacks PS2 controller ports. Maybe a USB adapter could work, but Sony hasn't said one way or another.

its a very good possibility in my opinion that sony will announce some sort of an adapter for ps2/ps3 controller conecting and for memory cards also, because they dont want people to have to start all there ps2 games over and im sure there aware of the games that use guitars, guns, steering wheels, etc.

Since they can release patches online now, I'm betting they're going to have a patch that will let you use a USB adapter. I mean, it's only a couple of buttons, and they said the PS3 is a computer. If a USB hub will work, I think a USB convertor will work.

I think this belongs to the games section, because it talks about one specific game.
Almost everyone will say: buy console that has games that you want, and those who say otherwise are ignorant.
