Formulas' majestic tutorial was pretty epic. Also these two are pretty good if I recall correctly:

They're pretty basic though, mostly just playing around with C4Ds and different layering, but whatevs. The scanlines part is pretty good though. Just check out shit on youtube, you can see directly what they are doing and it's easy to learn from that.

I've got a very personal style. I never really digged into the whole C4D thing. It's good to use them as a light effect for a few things, although I barely use them.
