Webzen cancels Endless Saga :(

A recent rumor indicated that the promising PS3 MMORPG Endless Saga by Webzen (also developer of Huxley) has been cancelled; a direct inquiry at the company has sadly confirmed this now. Webzen decided to shelve the game after a "rigorous development effort", coming to the conclusion that the gameplay was "short of innovation and creativity we seek to achieve in online gaming space".
While this may come as a shock for anyone hoping to eventually play this new fantasy MMO project on a next-gen console, if the reason for the cancellation was the game's quality, we're possibly better off without it.

In addition, Webzen promises after completing their current projects, they "still have a plan to enter into PS3 market and I'll let you know when we're prepared to bring something more valuable and fun to PS3 gamers."

Endless Saga was slated for a release in 2007 on Playstation 3 and PC, promising a colorful fantasy world based on the Unreal 3 engine. Apparently, the game still was in early development stages, with only one screenshot and a short video released to the public so far.

From what it sounds is that the game was put off on side while they worked titles that were a bigger priority.

Urm it was cancelled for both the PC and PS3, not just the PS3. So your arguement is moot.

They didn't cancel the game because of the costs. If that was the case then they would have continued the project on the PC. They cancelled it due to the lack of innovation going on within the project. So in other words they put a stop to the development of the game because they realised there was a high chance of it flopping.

Yeah, her face looks fine as you scroll up to the chin area, and then you see the enormous lips and they the weird nose, then yo see the complete botox-gone-bad-face... creepy...

This was the actual feed from the trailer, that picture up there is a computer rendered pic, not direct feed.

Bad? That pic is hideously shrunk but it's far from bad, if the original picture was shown you'll have your jaw dropped, look at the armour, the reflections, the lighting, everything in that pic looks stunning.

Though I do have to admit that she is fugly...she looks like a man with breasts...
