The more I hear of PSP the more I crave one.

If anyone finds a list of these "major music companies" please post them here.

Yah guys i mean not only is it the most baeutiful machine i've ever seen, and quite reasonably priced, but it has so many xtras that my head is going to blow befor i even buy this thing
Let me guess, you picked out yet another colorful box with a crank that I'm expected to turn and turn until OOP! big shock, a jack pops out and you laugh and the kids laugh and the dog laughs and I die a little inside.

Dear MacGuyver, Enclosed is a rubber band, a paper clip, and a drinking straw. Please save my dog.

That looks awesome. Hopefully it would come with a regular CD of the content as that wouldn't cost a couple dollars more to produce along with the UMD package.

I would rather just put it on a memory stick via the PC. I think that would cut prices down a lot and maybe it can store more then 1 cd of songs

Sony confirms PS3 to include HardDrive

Sony confirms PS3 to include HardDrive
    By: Justin Pinter

Recording to the report on Next-Gen.biz, Sony has stated that the PS3 will ship with 60gb hard-drive installed.

Further confirmation of the HDD coming with the PS3 was stated during last week's PlayStation Business Briefing. Although until the meeting, it was still in debate whether or not the HDD was going to be part of the system or something extra that needed to be bought. But no worries now, Ken Kutaragi and the other Sony CEO's finalized thier thoughts by concluding that it was necessary to have a HDD come with the system.

Speaking at the briefing last week, Kutaragi said that the PS3 has been developed with a hard disk in mind, developers asked "to develop games as though all PS3s have the HDD installed." PS3's HDD will be 60Gb in capacity, but will be upgradeable, will run Linux and will perform media hub and home server/network platform services, with Sony additionally saying that the hard drive unit will enhance gameplay and allow for full internet access.

It's probably a good thing too that Sony decided to go with the HDD as part of the system, look at what happened to the Xbox360 Core system. Not to mention, having the HDD as part of the PS3 will ensure all buyers that they will be able to use the PS3 to it's full capabilities.
