No I think Naruto does know there is a war coming up. He know Sasuke wants him dead AND he know Madara's coming for him (as he is the jinchuriki) So he's preparing. As Dave said earlier, he just doesn't know that its THAT close.

new ep is up. looks like they stuck to the manga purely this time ^_^ I love how Oonoki is so overpowered that he couldnt fight without killing the turtle XD

and also, what are non-manga readers thoughts on the ending of the episode?

(also i apologise for spoiling the gender of the armadillo last week; didnt realise they were gonna stick to that. not that its important to the story, more like canon-filler or a punchline, lol. In any case, ill be more careful about things like this).

Oh man Yamato is screwed. Can't wait to see what Madara has in store for him. Also I saw a glimpse of sasuke in the preview of next episode.

I really cannot wait for the war to begin it's gonna be so awesome after next week we have the anniversay special episode too, which may be a filler or one of those fan service recaps or something like the kid series used to have or something. havent checked the episode schedule so unsure if canon episodes continue after it.

the episode title after next week is:
"Four Week Long Special Project For the Broadcast's Tenth Anniversary: 'Meeting'"

so perhaps its a 4 week long filler and then back to canon.

I think i'd personally prefer waiting even longer and then getting new episodes in chunks. These short episodes are just not satisfying enough.

a heads up that the four week broadcast project is confirmed to be 4 episodes (a bit obvious), which means April is filler. We're also getting a new opening and ending for episode 257 which is the first of these 4 episodes. hopefully they continue the story after the April episodes

I'm expecting either a recap of the entire story or something special so it wont be typical filler episodes in my opinion.

dude, this shit is about to jump off SO HORD! I really like giving a throwback to fans with revivals of old shinobi, especially old friends because thats going to create some real ish. I was surprised at the ones they included in the introduction and the ones they left out. Seeing Dan in there is kind of random and I was kind of hoping to see Obito. Oh well it'll be interesting to see how all of this turns out. I mean, Orochimaru was able to reanimate Hashirama and Tobirama but we havent seen them yet.

I'm personally happy for this month long filler recap. firstly, I like recaps and I couldnt think of a better time to do one. Secondly, I hope after the month, they will release a block of episodes to really get things in gear. I am personally hoping to see some major Rock Lee action.

Hashirama and tobirama cant be summoned by edo-tensei due to shiki fuji that the 3rd preformed on them, there trapped in the death gods stomach

A bit of a random thought here, but I wonder if they will ever show a fight with the leader of the samurai. It would be cool to see them have their own equivalent of ninjitsu..etc.
