EA: 33% of net revenue generated by Xbox360.

EA has just released it fiscal report for the year ending March 2010, when taking into account non-GAAP accounts, the Xbox360 generates a whopping 33% of the companies entire revenue for the 1/4

Also this accounts for 54% of all console revenue earned in the 1/4.

For the entire year the 360 made up 27.5% of all revenue and 42% of all console sales.

The PS3 came in at 21% of all revenue while the wii trailed at 13% of revenue.


EA have also managed to make 23 million this year as opposed to -120 million last year.

this fluctuates so i would take it like the market should be taken in stride there previous reports they stated PS3 generated more revenue on there titles..this effect is quite common. Id say, this is nothing special but hope there revenue keeps them out the red enough and into making quality exlcusive ips. Not just a horde of lower quality multi plats...i know the money is in multiplats, but jesus it would be nice to see a benchmark ip from EA instead of always striving for parity.

i just hope they stay in the black.

I find it funny, that despite all the aquicisitons and take ovesr they have done in the past 6 years, they have run most of them into the ground (westwood etc).

Its taken companies like DICE, Bioware and partnerships with companies like Valve to truely turn things around for them.

I just hope they realise the folly of thier mistakes and leaving these companies alone to do what they do best. And NOT try and milk franchises.

One has to wonder what the hell Criterion have been up to since Burnout Paradise though.

It also hit the bargain bin very quickly. The problem with ME was that they couldn't continually tease aspects of it like you can a Halo or Uncharted. What we saw was basically what we got.

Well, I could only imagine it is one of them, 3 titles in 12 months is bit steep even if one is PC only, the other 2 will be hitting Xmas and the 1st 1/4 next year.

EA reveals sales results for Army of Two: The 40th Day, Dante’s Inferno and Mass Effect 2

During their recent conference call, Electronic Arts reveals some sales data to three of the biggest 2010 games.

According to the publisher, Mass Effect 2 has sold 1.6 million units on the PC (including digital downloads) and Xbox 360. Army of Two: The 40th Day was able to sell through more than 1 million units across the PSP, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. Finally, Dante’s Inferno did “almost 1 million units” on the PSP, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. All the numbers above are through the last fiscal quarter for Electronic Arts, which ended on March 31st.

Earlier today, Electronic Arts revealed several sales milestone reached by their games during the previous fiscal year.
