It has been reported that EA games will charge us to watch their game trailers, thats correct their game TRAILERS.
How low can EA sink, they are nothing but money hungry barstards.Gamers willing to fork over $19.95 for the hour long special will be on a “guided tour through new changes and advances in all aspects of the game.” This also includes the “exclusive release of player ratings and tips from top Madden gamers and behind-the-scenes details about the making of the next-generation Madden NFL games.”
Your thoughts?

EA really needs to clean up their act as they are slowly spiraling downward of being one of the most hated game developers.

well, someone will record it anyways and post it for free all over the internet...so basically people are going to hate EA for this, but at the same time probably see the video anyways lol.

I personally don't give a shit about the video and probably wouldn't watch it if it was free. But I see this costing EA much more(in lost sales by pissed off consumers) than they make selling this advertisement. I won't even pay for demos, much less trailers. If they want to sell me a game, great, but don't try to sell me a game by charging for a trailer. This would put a sour taste in my mouth for any dev doing this. And I'm also pissed about the out of control pricing on DL content. I hope people quit buying over-priced crap so the price will come down. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for paying for additional content as it costs them something to make it, but they are raking massive profits off this stuff right now.

EA hits another low.
I've already made up my mind. I'm not buying another Madden game. I've played Madden 98, I've played them all.

We should all start a huge boycott of EA! The only game they make which I like is NFS and thats it, and I could live without it.
-

lol, sorry, no boycott here...Madden 07 looks great, and I need my football game.

Good thing most of the games they make anymore suck. This just gives us an extra reason to not even bother watching the trailers.

That is so pitiful. They are already disgustingly rich because of their constant milking of rehashed titles.

Did anyone notice the poll on Gamespot about this little issue? Doesn't seem like too many people are thrilled about paying to view a video. I wish EA would just disappear....

OMG. Paying $20 to watch a hour long trailer feels like a ripoff. EA should have make it free, or there's going to be some problems for them.
-

It's really not that hard, just don't watch it. EA will have spent a huge chunk of time putting together an hour-long "special" for nothing.
