SOCOM 2 HD REMAKE ( Playstation Blog Poll )

Attention All SOCOMers and non SOCOMers,

Zipper Interactive, the creators of the Socom Franchise have let it be known, that if we can prove to Sony through a "united voice" that it's worth their time and effort ( for a profit of course ) to remake Socom 2 in HD for the PS3, then there is a possibility it can be done.

There is no guarantee, but it has now been said by Zipper themselves that we should push this issue with a poll and this is the main one being passed around throughout the internet.

If you are unfamiliar with the Socom series, or Socom 2, then know it was one of the BEST 3rd person shooters to come out in the PS2 era and more than likely will go down as one of the greatest and most addicting games ever to play online ( Ok, maybe i'm exaggerating here but if you're a SOCOM fan you know what I mean )

It is by far the most popular of the series ( it's a tie with Socom 1 for me ) and would be great to see it return in HD with a cheat-free online server ( this is really why many want it re-done )

So spread the word folks, send that link to anyone and everyone you know, let Sony know we want SOCOM 2 back in action!

im going through a socom burnout phase....really dont care about the series right now but ill definitely vote...i remember submitting a socom 2 hd remake on the suggestion blog but they didnt approve the topic

Yea, I can understand the burning out, Socom hasn't delivered anything good since Socom 2...

Only played Socom 2 a couple of times, did kinda enjoy it but only remember it vague. I do however will vote just for those who really want a remake. A new exclusive (even tough it's a remake) is always good right?

I don't play Socom but I'll vote anyone. I know alot of people I know want it so I'll vote for them.

awesome, let your buddies know about it as well...

Zipper has let the community know that they'd like more than just SOCOMer's to let them know if they'd be interested in this as well..

only people that will like it are the hardcore socom fans which is a couple thousand maybe.... the gameplay is dated already anyway.

remember this is an HD remake which means the only thing changing is going to be the resolution

Not necessarily, Zipper discusses this matter in their "Zipline" podcast...

The best part about if SOCOM 2 HD, if remade, is the fact that it will not slow down the production of Socom 4 or anything Zipper is working on, why?, because Zipper would not be the ones doing the work.

For example, God of War Collections was not revamped by Santa Monica Studios, but rather Blast Factor...

dont really care either way, i hate remakes of movies (im looking at you stupid Karate Kid) and for the most part, they shouldnt remake games either

This needs to happen and it will use mag servers.. Maybe it will have 256 player???? LOL that would be sick. BUt then people wouldn't play mag XD.

Not necessarily a "remake" more of a "revamp", like what God of War Collections was...

Also, It's not possible to Play Socom 1, 2, 3 and CA online anymore without cheaters...

So a revamp in graphics with a new server...
