I just bought the 120hz 52" Bravia and it will definately be my 2nd tv come January. For best gaming experience you need the best. Every year something better comes out. People say that 3D is over rated? I love going to the iMax and watching movies in 3D. Why the hell would I not like this at home? Seems people knock the 3D stuff because they can not afford the new stuff. 3D is only an option, you are not forced to use it. Tired of all the complaining about 3D. I bet people *****ed about color tv's back in the day the way this forum cries about 3D tv's now. Pfft, who needs color? It is so over rated.

There's a difference between technology the public gets excited about and tech people don't care about. Comparing 3D to color tv's back in the day isn't understanding the difference of the two when truthfully it's just that you can't understand why the majority isn't as excited about 3D as you are. Color tv was a new tech people got excited about and wanted, HDTV hit the public kind of the same way. 3D has been around since the 1950's and has came and went out of theaters 100's of times since then. Sure 3D looks some what better now but the majority of the public hasn't cared in 50+ years I doubt they'll start now.

Yeah... i think 3D is a gimmick... like the motion sensing peripherals...

Tell you guys what... If you all donate money and we all pitch in... I will buy the $400 dollar adapter and play a couple of games/movies using my 3DTV (pictured earlier) and I will let you know if its worth your purchase/time.

I think the 3D in Killzone 3 will be awesome. No one's even played it yet so I don't know why people are saying it's a gimmick andit sucks. Can't get a 3DTV yet but will in the future.

I honestly dont know what to think about 3D TVs.. they just seem like a huge FAIL to me. Of course, I have to actually try one out before I can determine that though.

nope, but I'm going to get one...3D in gaming is a great improvement, soon we will have holograms, but nothing is more immersive than a 3d game...it's actually better than a movie if you think about it...in movies, you can't control the actor to go in what direction you want, jump, crouch or shoot his gun and change weapons, but in a game you can, so that makes it so much more immersive...3D GAMING FTFW!

3D is totally awesome... for films, and doesn't seem gimmicky when watching new 3D films.

However, totally a waste of resources for big budget gaming where the end user, wants great visuals. I can totally see it taking off on Wii like PSN games. They can be a bit quirky with it and such; the moment you have to do 3D on a Game like GT5 or Killzone 3 or something, it's going to be like going back to a PS2 from a visual fidelity standpoint surely... they struggle to hit and maintain 60fps at 720 a lot of the time and now, with the glory of 3D, you're going to have to render everything twice, from 2 different perspectives, twice as fast???? Not going to happen. More like, render twice as little, from two different perspectives at the same time, with the same 60fps going on. Yeah... that's great?

I can see devs doing this> all day long trying to please the money bag 3D TV adopter /sarcasm. Although that ain't sarcasm if you work for Sony 1st party studios now. < is probably going to be mandatory to keep this up.

Ill get one but not right now. It really makes no sense. Nothing is broadcast in 3d. When all the networks catch up then maybe ill consider it.
