Question about Ar Tonelico II (slight spoilers without tags, tags don't seem to work)

So, AT II. Been playing it for about 15 hours and it's great so far. Just one, or well, two questions.

First. How different the story/game will be, if I choose to protect Cloche insted of Luca when you are to choose? I chose Luca this time, just wondering if I should play with choosing Cloche too.

Also, how do I level up cured I.D.P.? I just equip them and fight?

Firstly, you made a terrible mistake Luca is a horrible person.
The story isnt too hugely different depending on who you choose there are some big differences for a couple of phases but it all wraps up about the same in the end. Btw just making that choice doesnt actually choose the girl, you choose them by going beyond level 5 in their cosmosphere.
equip them and fight and all IPDs of that "type" should get some exp,assuming you've fulfilled their requests and they joined the fan club
