MS Respond to Slim red dot claims

A pretty generic PR response imo. But obviously MS felt the need to respond to this in some fashion since all this 360 Slim failure talk could adversely affect sales by scaring consumers away.

very generic, and doesnt really respond to the issue. even so, theres always issues with tech, hell look, apple are having issues with the new iPhone and if there's one thing you can usually guarantee from apple its well built stuff.

I'll go out on a limb and say it's a bit too early to write off the slim as a new failure prone console. We've seen reports of some failures but that's to be expected. It's not stopping me getting mine delivered in a few weeks.

I agree F34R. It's better to come out and respond than to not respond at all in this scenario.

I also agree with serge, these things are expected. When it starts happening to the majority it becomes a problem.

How many reports are we talking about?
Ive seen the Neo gaf post which is clearly some **** blocvking the vent because he hit and ran and never explained the pictures.
This, its worth nothing was thermal protection kicking in. Not a failure.

The only real one I have see is the power brick failure.

I disagree. But NOT responding, you are basically conceding the fact. You really have to try to dispel untruths or they become truths in the public eye.

Both the people defending and attacking the 360 are wrong. For god's sake this console has only been out for a few days.

1) There are only what... 2 reports stated so far? If you want to make a case that the 360 has a problem wait for a few weeks/months.

2) We don't know if it will suffer any problems in the future so you can't say if any of these little reports may be a person trying to get attention or a valid problem.

- I am the proud owner of one of these new 360's so don't make the case that I am "troll or xbox attacker" as far too many people do in this section. (none of you are right now but as with any 360 thread with criticism in this section..it leads to blind arguments)

I didn't mention anyone, so if you think I meant you, that's not my problem. Instead of calling individual people out, this is the only way to put it that is acceptable to the staff. I specifically said "internet" and not "forums".
