    Replacement Nub.

So it started a week or 2 ago. My PSP 1000 nub is now being a little glitchy and wanting to go left quite alot, not all the time, but alot.

I was wondering if any of you fine people have ever replaced the nub component on your PSP and how was the quality of item you bought?

Pulling apart the PSP and replacing this part should be easy as pie.

It's a shame you can't buy the components from SONY

I replaced one on my little lads PSP 2000. Couldn't have been easier to do to be honest.

I bought a replacement off of e-bay, works flawlessly and has lasted really well, which it should do seeing as it's a sony original. The only thing you will have to be careful with is making sure you get the right one for your model, there are differences in them.

edit: Don't know about australian prices but they're pretty darn cheap here. £1.66 for the whole module.....

Think I paid about £2 for the one in the PSP 2000, should be a pretty cheap repair for you.

If you say the quality of yours is pretty good then I'll buy one and try it out. I always have the original just in case things do go wrong.

I've bought off the site before, so far everything has been up to scratch for the price.

Had $3 sitting in my paypal, cost $2.50au.

You'll have to let me know how the replacement went, just be careful not to lose what looks like a pointless piece of white plastic in-between the contact points

Tell me about it. That weird gel thing with the 4 tiny bits of connector. I've opened my PSP before to replace the Vol+ HOME strip that perished over the what is it 5 years now? lol.

My charger also conked out too a while back after years of continuous use. I don't know anyone thats loved or used their PSP more than I.

I know sometimes opening your PSP can result in a wonky nub but this isn't the case.
