    Sharp aquos lc-46d65u

well i got this tv and its great for my ps3, but i tried all the setting people used on a bluray forum and the picture was dark and dull. I tried he presets and dramatic fixed seemed to be the best picture but i fear that since i am not that far away from my tv it could be to bright.

    Blacklight 16
    contrast 32
    brightness 0(standard)
    color 4
    sharpness 4

what can i do to still get the good picture without the possibly of damaging my eyes.

Just set it up as you feel is the best, it won't hurt your eyes. If you get eye-strain then move the TV farther away if possible or tweak the settings accordingly.

well the thing is my room is rather small and i only have room for my queen sized bed(i'm tall) and my dresser for the tv and other essential items, so moving back is not a option.

Yeah I had a 27" when I lived in a small room, 46" is rather big for a small room. But turn down the brightness as much as possible before the picture looks bad.

you know the recommended optimum viewing distance is ment to be 4X the tv's screen size. so if its 46" you need to be about 15 feet from it.
