As 3D and Motion controls try and take over gaming, theirs one game that's taking motion and fighting in a direction that appeals more to gaming's primary demographic, and less to children and senior citizens. If you aren't convince about The Fight Lights then it will probably take a punch in the face for you to see how good this game really is. The Playstation Move and Microsoft's Kinect are dancing it out to have you dancing and fighting with their motion on your living room floor. Well, as they dance you will likely want to fight.
Thats Because the best motion title to date just might be the Fight Lights Out. After shinning at E3 and Gamescom, it's clear that Sony has the right ideal of what motion should be. The core gamer is not interested in controller-less kiddie games that require you to jump and move to avoid random objects. Core gamers want bow & arrows, big gun's, and bloody knuckles. The PlayStation Move is the only motion controller that's giving gamers a motion experience with hardcore titles. The recent announcement that KillZone 3, Heavy Rain, and Socom 4 all being equipped with motion controls, proves Sony want's to create more than just a casual add on.
The Fight Lights Out is one of may motion games Sony has that appeal to the Hard core gamers. The freedom in the game is beyond what any other fighter has done, and creates an immersion which makes you each punch personally. As you fight there are no controls or combos, you have to know how to fight to win. Playing this game online could be one experience that could cause a lot of hurt fillings, and broken TV's.
After playing The Fight Lights Out at some of the summers biggest convention, I immediately noticed that this should only be played online when playing with friends, because it could turn into a real fight, really quick; no controllers included need except the ones being thrown at you. Here's an interview we conducted for The Fight Lights Out, and the Shoot.

Take Wii boxing and add corn rows, blood and graffiti. Plus a sepia tone and you have a hardcore game.
This is the kind of game that shows me how sad hardcore gamers are. They can't look beyond kiddie graphics sometimes, so they re sKin it and the world sings it's praises. The game looks ok to me. Dead of all actual design flair is what hurts me the most about it thoWII FRIEND CODE = 5509 0447 7406 7959

I was really suprised by the 1:1 motion of the fight with the guy demoing. Might pick this up in order to get rid of pent up aggression.

wow that guy at the start was in the tv show Breaking bad in the show he got beheaded by Mexican cartel assassins and they stuck his head on a tortoise with a bomb strapped to it XD
Also he has a small part in the 3rd season which shows him being murdered by the assassins.

i've not really seen it running in a way that truly looks like it is matching your movements, it certainly wasn't doing so at betarooms ! i hope the later builds improve the motions, that goes for all Move games for me

I have just preordered. For £24 you can't go wrong!
Also loving the training element, could be a manly alternitive to the Wife's wii fit.

Wow, if you think there is no difference between Wii Boxing and The Fight other than the graphics then you might want to stick to Wii Boxing. Just by comparing videos of The Fight at E3 to Wii Boxing you can see huge jumps in it's 1:1, head tracking, and number of moves and different punches that actually register.
Hardcore gamers are interested in it because it looks like it is a much deeper fighting game, rather than standing in front of your TV rapidly throwing straight arm punches to win.
Lately, it seems to be gamers who gloss over facts in a crass attempt at "me too" statements that have me worried. Nobody thinks they need to actually read and compare two products to make broad statements about things anymore.
They think they know everything they could about everything based on a few forum posts and a Youtube video.Last edited by BlacJack; 08-26-2010 at 17:03.

I'm glad Sony isn't constantly feeding me possibility and hope of things getting better by launch while constantly leaking that some things as promised won't be working with their motion controller. I'll gladly take a working product that you can see get better and better with each build.

You should check out the other latest threads on this game, it has changed drastically.
This game is now said to be the closest 1:1 motion game out there. It not only gives you free will to make up your own moves but it also measures how hard you punch etc.
And it has offline/online multiplayer, a career mode, and you get trained to fight by non-other than Danny Trejo.
Simply amazing!

that is very impressive i concede that. I must say i like that the guy says no lag, then watch the time it takes for his headbutt and back hand, its easilly as long as kinect has been taking in videos
What you guys failed to notice in my post is that I was insulting the very use of the word hardcore. The idea in this game and Wii boxing is the same, if you don't think that this is sonys answer to Wii boxing your mistaken, just like kinects failed attempts at Wii clone games.
I was trying to say that hardcore should mean games like heavy rain but I admit I didn't explain it well enough, if at all due to ne being on my iPhone.
I want hardcore games to be more adult in content and phylosiphy not just in the skin applied and, yes the fight is more technically impressive than a Wii game. ( it should be with the power available) I just mean the basic idea is the same. Flailing your arms around to box someone else.
The head tracking is good tho, but I must be the only one seeing the extreme lag on the headbutts etc in that last video. It's almost a second after he has done the move.
The exact same issues I see kinect getting dissed for.
Give me heavy rain with move controls, I wish move was out before cage deved the game tho.
This game is purely for the Sony generation. 18-35 that wanna play Wii boxing and feel like they aren't playing a game inspired by a family game but can't admit itLast edited by Dasimpse; 08-27-2010 at 07:26.
