I don't even bother converting them i simply stream them direct from PC using PS3 media server.
Have to give it a try to see which I prefer.

I tired it and it worked great took abotu 30 seconds to mux but as I have small drive in PS3 I still have it stored on PC so it kind of pointeless for me at this moment.
It does stream subs I have had them in movies which annoyed me so used the "definantly dissable subs" option.
Its nt always stright forward so may have to fiddle with various subtitle settings oh and I use the latest Beta not the version linked onthe front page.
You can get the latest beta from here.

Check the changelogs there has been a few subtitle fixes.Last edited by keefy; 09-02-2010 at 15:47.

I've been doing this for a year now, works great.
i just wish the ps3 had .mkv native support without needing to convert.

I've never had 1 issue playing subs with it and been using it for over a year close to 2 now I think actually,
I can confirm it works for both embedded subs and the ones that are in the same folder .srt I think is there extension.
Also works with files with different audio codecs embedded in them .
Steps
- Go to your ps3media server icon on your ps3
- Navigate to the file you want
- Above the default file will be a folder called Trans coded
- Go in there and there will be differ options subs/no subs/ English / Japanese
I found this out when I DL the Finalfantasy movie in HD and it was Japanese by default, the file was dubbed in English though.
I was angry and then very happy once I found this out lol
This is a must have program for anyone that has movie files on there computers.
Currently Awaiting MVC3 - Muhahaha
