I bought a new PS3 about a month ago after my old 40GB YLO'D.
I tried everything to get it fixed, but all I get is "The connection with PSN timed out."
So I got a new new PS3, after ringing Sony(they couldn't work out the problem, so they said it was a hardware problem and you can exchange it for another) and got another one.
But, I still get this "Time out" message. I've tried all the DNS nonsense, looked at all the forums. But nothing.
Have I wasted £250? Please help! My life is so boring without PSN.

I turned the DMZ on(I don't know the technical term) but it has made no difference.
Vintage - I'm going to buy a new one and see if it works.
It's just so strange. If I create a new user on the PS3,(user 1,2 etc) I get the "Sign up for PSN" thing to click on. So I click on it, and select "Sign in with an existing account."
It says "Hello stefan_k. Proceed to the PS store."
So I click ok and then it automatically signs me out!
It's odd because my old PS3 worked fine.
