Check this out guys....
......read that?PlayStation Universe has been committed to being the best PlayStation site on the internet for years. We’ve done everything we can in that time to bring you the greatest content, an exciting community and an overall awesome place to hang out and learn everything there is to know about your favorite gaming system. We like to think of ourselves as a large family of PlayStation fans, and our community as our brothers and sisters on this journey. Of course, we have tried to listen to your comments and suggestions along the way, and as many of you know, our resources have been tight over the past year.
So, we are coming to you, our family, to tell you about some incredibly exciting news. After all, our community is the most important part of PSU, and you all deserve to know what’s happening behind the scenes. Effective immediately, PlayStation Universe is under a new management team, one that comes with an enormous investment. For our loyal community, this means one thing—a bigger, better and more devoted PlayStation Universe.
For starters, this investment means we have a a flood of new resources to put towards the site. You’ll see more content driven towards covering all things Sony and the PlayStation brand. We’ll accomplish this by adding more staff, more programmers, designers, and a team that works behind the scenes to ensure the community’s needs are being met to the best of our abilities.
While we’d love to tease all the future content (world domination is in the forecast), we want to make sure this investment is properly managed. Our goal is to give PSU a long-lasting and stable future. We cannot make immediate promises, but we can say that you, our community, will stay privy to the changes and we welcome all of your comments, concerns and suggestions.
We value the community of PSU above and beyond all else. Without our loyal community, this site would be nothing, and our staff understands this fact in the deepest way possible. All of this may seem exciting, and we can’t wait to jump in head-first, but please understand change takes time. Do not expect major changes overnight, but do look for some exciting additions rolling out over the next few months. Rest assure that PSU will continue to offer you a place to voice your opinions on the forums, check out the latest news and game reviews from our staff writers, and overall be an inviting place for fans of PlayStation.
Thank you for your continued support, and stay tuned for future announcements about changes coming to PlayStation Universe. We look forward to growing our family and keeping our community excited about the future.
The PlayStation Universe Team

Whats up everyone!
Definitely extremely excited to be on board here. PSU is such an awesome site, with an incredible community. I can give you my word that I'm here to support what you want.
While we won't always be able to do everything you want, me, my team and the PSU staff are here to help. I want to bring the level of support that you guys have been craving, and work together to make this site the best it can possibly be.
Seb Hayes has done an incredible job building this community - and we can never forget how much respect he deserves for bringing it from nothing all the way up to where it is. I feel honored to be following in his footsteps, and working to help where resources have been a touch thin over the last while.
I won't go too long winded here, but just wanted to say hello... and feel free to let the questions flow out!

Ah, so you're the stranger I've seen lurking around the forum?
Welcome to PSU, man, looking forward to some of the changes arranged for the website and forum. I'm loving the intergration between the two, one plus side to having vBulletin over the others. Can't wait to see what else you have planned for us.

My personal opinions are not endorsed by PSU. But they should be.

Can't wait to see all the exciting changes that are coming to the site! It's been pretty quite these past few months, hopefully as the forum gets better more people decide to either come back or sign up for the first time.

The Liquid theme has gone. I missed that, having a widescreen monitor and all. Makes things look weird. Also, there's no Welsh flag for locations like there used to be! [=

Hehehe... yeah little bit of lurking as we got everything sorted out. No intent to be secret, just wanted to get it all dialed and correct before we blasted out the announcement.
Couldn't agree more that the integration of the two parts of the site is really important... we'll work to do more and more of this over time.
Yes - the site sold to a group of private investors, who have hired me to run it!
I really want to work hard to entice all of our old members back to the site. We want to breathe life into this community like there has never been before... so don't hesitate to reach out and let people know that PSU is going to be on the up and up!

Technically what happened is we wanted to make the liquid skin a perk for subscribers... It helps to keep the width fixed to better monetize the ad slots, due to improved location.
Do you think that sounds fair? Since we need to work to generate more dollars, the people who chose not to subscribe will have to put up with a touch more... but the ones who do will get more perks than before.
To me, that seems like a fair trade off, but I'm totally willing to hear your thoughts!

Prepare for meltdowns if these next gen console rumors are true. Phase 1: Denial. Phase 2: Mask a lie under "opinion" vs a fact. Phase 3: Bring up the PS3/360 era when it has nothing to do with the subject. Phase 4: Say that the power gap doesn't matter but constantly defend the weaker specs.
