Breaking bad did what it did with delivery, the writing in terms of setting things up was probably the best Ive seen in shows, I think thats really where it wowed people, their was scenes that seemed completely irrelevant to the show and off story, and yet it always always came back in a way that made you go wow that was connected to the story all along.
Had the show been shot in a more straightforward manner, we may have not even liked it even with 90% of the dialogue the exact same.

Watch all 5 seasons of The Wire and then tell me the writing in Breaking Bad is better.

The tiniest of details in the wire matter. And it does all of this without fancy cinematic shots.

Definitely not. It's the writing of the plot.

Ah, good. Lol. Don't get me wrong, I love breaking bad. I just don't think it's on the same level as The Wire.

Scenes like the courtroom scene or discussing and comparing Chess to the 'game' or even just what happen to the guy who created Chicken Nuggets. The dialogue between the characters is incredible

I haven't watched season 2 yet, since I've been told it's a low point. It took me a while to watch season 1 already. I'll eventually power through!
