Microsoft having Xbox Live Fall Update Preview signups

You can sign up now however Gold members have priority to Silver members. Fall updates include new dashboard, ESPN3, Netflix search, and more.

Just signed up, and it confirmed me to be in the program at the end of the signup process. I used my new Halo 360s, and it doesn't have a Gold profile on it.

Arg. I've been in the all the dashboard previews before now, and I'm in MGS Beta program, and I missed this.
Why Do they have to do a seperate signup for EVERYTHING!? Just use the people you've already got in your programs damnit!

I'm guessing that they do it this way so that they know the people that they are choosing have a recent interest in the program. Instead of sending out invites to accounts that may or may not be interested any longer, etc.

Plus it gives a chance to those who aren't in that program. So I'm happy

Well, they could send out an e-mail to people already in the program. I shouldnt have to pay attention to Major Nelson's website to know about these things.
