we are selling allot of xbox's becuase of kinect, so its deffo effecting console sales.

360 took the top 4 spots in the NPD and have a total of 6 in the top ten. The 360 passed the Wii for the best selling console this year at 3.5 million.

1. Fallout: New Vegas
2. Fable 3
3. Medal of Honor or NBA 2K11
4. Medal of Honor or NBA 2K11

The other two games in the top ten is Halo Reach and Star Wars Force Unleashed 2.

7000+ is among the higher of XBOX sales weeks though LOL

Typically doesn't MS hover around the 3-5000 mark?

Just a slight bump though... MS just has to admit that they will never score large numbers in Japan...

Japan isnt going to adopt this straight away. It is going to take time and a bit of word of mouth, but I can still see this being a hit with them, eventually.
As cynical as I am, I would say if MS had licenesed it to Nintendo, it would be going gangbusters over there right now.

That generally includes Jan as well as that includes new years and its associated sales.

At least thats how it works in the UK.

360 sold 1.4 million in November according to NPD. Seems like only the DS beat it.

The 360 YTD -- 4.9 million -- makes 2010 already its biggest year before we even add December's sales.

2006 - 3.9 million
2007 - 4.6 million
2008 - 4.7 million
2009 - 4.8 million

November Year by Year comparison

2005 = 326K
2006 = 511K
2007 = 770K
2008 = 836K
2009 = 819.5K
2010 = 1.4M

With the time I spent over there, I saw them purchase purely Japanese products and frowned upon foreign items. American cars, american electronics etc. All are meh to them. One American brand name I did see them go crazy for was Disney. They love Disney is Japan. No surprise that is why Kingdom Hearts was such a success upon release world wide. If a Japanese gamer wants to jump into this gen (either 360 or PS3), they are going with Sony. In reality, the 360 will never penetrate the Japanese market. They can try all they want, but it's just wasted promotion. They should be content that they have the sales that they do in America, which are phenomenal.

I thought around 1.1 tops, 1.4 is what I thought they would do in December.

50% of spending in November sales are for the 360 (Games and Consoles)
360 has 4 games in the top ten (COD:BO, AC: Brotherhood, Fable 3 and Halo Reach).
COD:BO for the 360 was the #1 seller in November.
360 is the fastest growing console of 2010

Dance Central was #11 in the NPD and Kinect Sports and Your Shape were the next 2 however we don't know which position. Also they didn't count Kinect Adventures.
