Good luck with that one! It's like all the single controllers in the shops near me and my favorite online retailers have all disappeared!
It could be that they didn't have the tech behind that demo available when they added face tracking to the game.

Time Crisis comes out in a week or two for Aust other wise I may have picked it up over The Shoot; but now I have The Soot I think it may end up being the better game even tho it's got far less content.
I got it with the SONY gun attachment for pretty cheap, the game it's self works wonderfully I am blown away at how good the Move actually works in many different situations.
Name any game or game type on the Wii and I bet the Move could equal or better it.
As soon as any store gets them in they are sold out before 12. It's madness.
It's great having loads of bundles around for new adopters to not miss out on the fun, just hurts the hardcore wanting to better the experience with another Move. If I didn't pick this Move up on launch day, I probably wouldn't have had one today almost two months after launch.Last edited by mickice; 11-03-2010 at 07:08.

Eurogamer review is in...

Hahah i read the closing statement on Eurogame saying that sometimes you start to realize why that left hook you threw just didnt connect. Sounds like a real fight to me.
This type of games should reviewed by someone who actually spars or been in a couple of fights, my last sparring session which was like a week ago was between a long abscense of constant sparring sessions i would have.
And just reminded me that you can be so fluid on a bag and do this and that, but with a live opponent moving around timing distance, will throw you off of that straight right you taught was going to connect didnt (dont worry i still have some moves but my timing was off for now but not as bad).
Omit all this review atleast show video of the guy doing it so we can see if he atleast has the basic fighting skills needed for a game like this. I've never played golf in my life should i review Tiger Woods game.

That might be because of the obscured view.
At least all of the issues around the game is just down to poor decision making and not the hardware itself. Would be great to have something brilliant right out the gate but it does seem like this won't be it.
I'll probably still get it anyway tho.

From the videos shown the gameplay looks fun and very responsive 1:1. That's the most important thing to me. The gameplay angles also seemed fine definitely can get used to them with a few games under my belt. The game is losing points on a lot of frivolous areas like lack of in depth story mode, character design, color pallette. I still wish the avatar was transparent, but from the gameplay Ive seen it doesn't look gamebrraking and the controls look responsive enough to make the gameplay fun. Bottom line for me a fight will feel like a fight and its got me excited, especially for multiplayer more with than without adult beverages lol

I'm talking about tiger woods move version I don't know crap about the sport but I'm not going to knock it if I can't hit the ball. Same way this reviewers knocking the game becaus they probably threw a left hook not even inthe range were a hook can connect.
Okay I've come out wrong with my statement I should of worded it better, here it goes I feel motion gaming reviews would be more credible if the review would be a video review that has a picture in picture of the guy reviewing pointing out the flaws. So that we can see that they are atleast capable of being capable of the rigorous movements associated with MOTION games.
Might sound absurd but let it sink in and it will make sense, take for example iWaggle3d reviews those are the best motion gaming examples. Let me ask you guys something based on your opinions gathered off of gathered media opinions and give the first answer that comes to your head does mag move work

You're just making too many assumptions as to WHY the reviews are bad. ALL the reviews, even the waggle guy, have mentioned the same issues with this game. If you require video "evidence" to validate a review, then stick with the very few "reviews" that do that sort of thing. Ignore all the other reviews that are pretty consistent about this title and the flaws with it, based on the lack of knowing whether these reviewers are qualified to throw a punch.

Maybe the game is broken but I seriously doubt 3 out of 10 broken. The game will have to do until something else better comes out in terms of motion fighting.
But I will say this the betting feature looks cool would be awesome if the small community of ps3forums that do buy it. Have regular local championship fights with YouTube videos uploaded of the outcome that looks like fun

Don't get so caught up in the score... it's the actual review that counts. I agree that the game should probably be a 5 based on the review.
That is a damn good idea too, about the betting, etc. I'd participate.

This is a great interview with one of the devs of the game. Very interesting read. Thanks again to the waggle site, this gamewill have deep, fun, tactical gameplay and I think people who appreciate these things and take the time to learn the gameplay are going to have a great time with the actual fighting and gameplay.

Here's a user review from a member at neogaf.com, who already got the game,he's got a very favorable opinion of the gameplay and controls.
"It appears that The Fight and Singstar Dance are out today already in EU! I just tried Singstar Dance briefly, but I liked it (it's hard, but the feedback is good and immediate, and once you get into the 'groove' it's very satisfying) and my 2.5yo son started mimicking along with what I was doing pretty quickly, which was very cute. So I played a fair bit of The Fight now, and so far I'm actually quite pleased with it. The camera is only an issue for me in so far as that it is sometimes hard to see if you are doing a good body shot, although your opponent and sound does give you good feedback on that. I don't know if I just lucked out on picking a good camera, but generally I don't have to see all that much to be able to visualise what's going on.The replay of my first match (which has decent options like viewing from all angles, pausing forwarding, etc.) showed that my body shots were way too low. Also, since my 'wing-span' is almost 2 meters, for calibration I sort of have to lean back if I were to do it properly, but you can fake it a little. This is one of the first games that gives an estimate on your size though based on two calibration moves. The head-tracking doesn't work for me, as more or less expected. I may try again during the day, but the developers themselves basically indicated that they couldn't really do it for this game, also because of if you defend properly, your head will be mostly hidden (though I think from there you can probably still guess where the head is, if you take it further). The training room is satisfying for me - I understand what I need to do (on the heavy bag do one-two's, and occasionally hit the red circle area when it pops up), using the movement of the bag properly and not missing - once you start missing, you fail out. It's a good exercise also for improving your spatial awareness. Same goes for the speed training, which realistically requires you to maintain a rhythm that suits the way the ball bounces, and you have a meter that stays in the green as long as you manage to keep the ball going. There's no faking it here, and once you get the skill down (I got it down very quickly at a pretty high pace) it simply relies on you to get tired. And trust me, you do! I still feel my arms, I think I lasted almost 4 minutes, and that netted me 13 skill points I could use on my fighter. The walking around using the Move as a kind of joystick while pressing the Action/Move button (which you can conveniently use either hand for) works good and I look forward to more games using this for free roaming while keeping full 1:1 control for both hands available. I also went online and there was no-one to play with yet, which is not a big surprise I think. However, the game gives you an opponent that doesn't defend himself while you wait, which is incredibly satisfying for just experimenting with all sorts of bloody hits. I do think though that this game has some very good potential for online - we'll have to wait and see how it pans out. While they say they sacrificed a transparent character for 60fps, I have to say that the game often doesn't feel like 60fps - I think there are some real slowdowns occasionally. Finally, Trejo as your trainer/instructor is a nice touch. He does a decent job, much better than most nonsense in videogames, and its fun to see him talk about/hold Move controllers and diss the alternative control scheme where you use a sixaxis for the second hand. :The balance for the career mode is interesting, in that you have to fight to make money, and you need the money to do trainings that can net you skill-points to upgrade your character with. This balances the game, but whomever can do the training stuff better will faster upgrade their character, which is interesting. So far, my impressions of this game are quite favorable. We'll have to wait and see how it lasts, but I'm thinking this game does deserve an OT.."Last edited by swordfish64; 11-05-2010 at 06:51.

I might just get this game after all base on your reviews. My wife pre order it for me and the kids two weeks ago and I told them yesterday that because of all the bad reviews i plan on changing my preorder. They didn't like hearing that and try to convince me that a review is just a person opinion and i should pick it up and try it But i was thinking these are just over zealous kids who don't no the value of a dollar. After reading your views on the game though, i might just follow my co worker and pick it up Tuesday, since he wants to fight online and my two boys want fight against each other. Only draw back is now i have to buy two more Move controllers.
