Hmm, I wonder if they could patch the game to fix these technical problems?

Hit the nail on the head, add character transparency and lock the distance from the opponent so that at least every shot can reach.
In Gladiator Duels the character auto walks upto the right distance. Zindagi Games deserves so much more praise for Sports Champions it's not funny.

I noticed he did his best to not move from his position.

the controls work that's the most important thing for me, I don't care about the story I'm just trying to fight.

what I meant was the tracking , he said the motion tracking was flawless , it's just that the game has design flaws like not having a clear avatar and the having to move your fighter to the right spot by holding the move button and moving the controller to where you want to go.
I think the moving your fighter is something you will have to get use to, but not having a clear avatar was just a dumb move.
I think they can patch in auto movement so it's not as bad as I thought it was from reading the reviews.

Always a great review from Iwaggle. I totally agree about the auto movement and character transparency, would have been great. Just like in Gladiator Duel, where you could just focus on playing with the Move and not moving with one controller which like he said can be a problem in heated situations.
It would've been great as well if they improved on the whole tracking system of your body. I mean in Table Tennis it worked. I'll still will have to test this game out for myself in order to fully judge the game.

Be awesome if they patch in a first person view instead.
Looks like it'll still be a lot of fun contrary to what the other reviews are saying.

Crap I can't see the score on my freaking iPhone nor the video, I hold waggle review to a higher standard regarding motion controls if they say it's broken it's broken.'
Simply because of their MAG review when others say it didn work they fine tuned it and played it to the point where they got used to it and even said they preferred it over ds3 while other reviewers tried it for what seems like one match and gave a score
What's the score if hey say it's bad it's bad

Basically he said when it all works together, it works well. Unfortunately, those times are too far in between.

Who the hell quality tested this? How can they let a game go out where you are effictivley playing the game blind folded for the main part????
As you say F34R this must be fixable with a patch. Can't take too much effort to make your avatar invisible.
Callibration did't seem a big deal either.

So if they made your character automatically adjust to range and made him translucent the game-play itself would be excellent (minus head tracking issues) is what I got from the video. Hit detection and motion tracking of your hits seem to be good. There's extra calibration but who expected it to have Tumble calibration?
The art and everything to do with the presentation looks pretty low grade though.

Like I said in my post, he pointed out 2 things preventing this game from being excellent. If you can get used to character control and not having a see through character; this game has flawless 1:1 arm tracking and wrist rotation.
Looks like I'll be hunting out a second move for this after all.

OK, so we know the game doesn't lose calibration during a fight and that the punches are 1:1 and non-scripted. It also seems he had no difficulty landing his punches where he aimed them (except when fighting in close but that is to be expected as the body and arms of the opponent block the reviewers arm movements which are to be expected, ie his arms don't ghost through the other fighter). It would have been better to have a transparent FP view, and auto walking/distancing would have made the game simpler, but as I had hoped, if you can master your timing and distancing, and also master your opponents tendencies, you can have success in this game.
Also from watching the video, I can see that you want to be selective with your punches when fighting in close, ie sharp uppercuts and body blows.
I think the gameplay will be alot of fun, especially with local and online multiplayer and will provide a hell of a workout. My GF can have the Mel B game to herself, I'm gonna be exhausting myself with the fight (as if Sports Champions wasn't taxing enough).

im just happy the controls work, he said the 1:1 tracking is flawless. the other stuff like trancparent or auto move, you could prob just practice and get used to it. its not gonna ruin the game.

Seems like they could fix this with a patch.
I'll more than likely still pick this up when I buy Move.No thank you. I'll be gaming on a stronger console for $100 cheaper instead
Sony trolled MS. PS4 fans didn't do it. We just laughed at MS and anyone getting mad. $399 FTW!

That's it I'm getting it seems like mybtype if fighting motion game were timing, distance, and basic fighting skills are necessary to win. But I will say this kinect seems better geared towards this type of genre let's see how their answer to this turns out

I'm surprised people think this looks good, Seriousley. I kinda thought "nice" when I saw it tracking his arms. Then the game just looked terrible after that. Everything about it looks horrible.

Yeah, the tracking is definitely good, but the implementation looks terrible. The game is no longer a buy for me unfortunately. Who am I kidding though, I'm probably going to end up buying it just like everyone else because I really want to believe all the other reviewers got it wrong.
