It's Sphaxcraft, which is arugably the best texture pack around. Specifically that is the 256x version, and I have 32xAA forced over the game to get rid of those god-awful jaggies. Makes the game looks so good.

As soon as I saw those screen shots I suspected AA, but I assumed the smoothness came from a high res texture pack.
Is the performance hit for 32xAA high? For some reason my minecraft has started to become slow at loading chunks. I'm suspecting that java virtual machine is running out of memory.

Well on my rig it does make a serious knock to the framerate. I shed about 600 frames with it on, but that leaves me about 200-300 fps left. You could force smaller AA though your GPU, such as 8. It still makes a solid difference, a difference you cam see extremely well in motion. I can't play the game without it now.

Is it really so addicting? I watched trailers and gameplays and it looked kind of boring for me. But i'm assuming that i'm wrong :P Is there a possibilities to play it just for try or do i have to buy it?

The demo doesn't really do the full game justice. There are so many features in the full-game that aren't included in the demo, the main one being able to play online. There are, of course, a lot of features in the single-player game that also make it addicting and Mojang are constantly working on and releasing updates (and release weekly snapshots/betas) - really, Minecraft is an amazing game. I would recommend buying it.

that's how i see it, lego plus features and imagination... All rolled into one
I could go and buy a box of lego and later on buy extra features for that lego and use my imagination to build what ever i want.
Enter MINECRAFT
in my opinion it's the same thing
Thanks to Spyrde/Sylar

Not much compared to the feeling of going around mining for those precious diamonds only to fall into a pit of lava

still think it sucks and never got the appeal for it
There will be another that will come along and take this idea and add a twist to it and people will scream it's the greatest crap game ever

So many interesting and cool things can be added to Minecraft. But all those features in the last updates are so boring and pointless...

I lost count of how many times i died with full diamond armour! or a really high enchanted level bow.
Spoken like a man who has never played the game before.
A crap game doesn't go on to sell millions of copies and become one of the fastest selling XBL games of all time.I Like Games.

People judge it too quickly. They need to give it a 'fair' chance.

Started playing it again on pc. Found a village, and built a fort around the village. We have survived 2 zombie sieges so far. I expanded the village quite a bit in order for it to spawn an iron golem, I knew I would need its help in order to defend the village.
So much fucking fun./UPSET THE ESTABLISHED ORDER AND EVERYTHING BECOMES CHAOS\

no zombie sieges occur naturally
