No offense, but that's really fucking stupid and if your experienced friends said nothing are also fucking stupid. You need a very solid base of muscle before even beginning to consider running a cycle or cycles... 5'11" at 180 is definitely not that base. Put on another 30 pounds or so of muscle first before deciding whether or not to fuck up your biology. Also, if you're anywhere near 18, you still have a lot to gain naturally from the natural testosterone coursing through your veins. I'm not against cycles, I'm against smug arrogance and ignorance on the matter.
If you're going to do your cycle regardless, I would highly recommend reading up on pre- and post-cycle therapy (which you listed above), such as the variety of things you should be taking such as estrogen suppressors to prevent Gynecomastia as well as liver protectants as cycling is IMMENSELY hard on your liver.
Also, another thing to make absolutely sure of is that your diet is utterly perfect and that your needs are going to change while on a cycle. If it isn't, you're not going to see much benefit from the test. You should also be consuming at least a gallon of useable liquid a day (i.e. water, tea, etc). Not only for your muscles and general proper hydration, but while on a cycle you'll have an extra liter of blood in your body, which is why years of running cycles can lead to an enlarged heart.
I wish you good luck on your cycling journey, but if nobody gave you any precautions they're idiots.
If you'd like a better forum to discuss this on with many folks who have been in this game for many years, check out http://www.wannabebig.com/forums/ and take a gander at the Anabolic section.
Good luck, bro.Last edited by PeanutButterMunky; 04-15-2012 at 16:08.

Hey, usually after a workout or through the day, my body prefers milk over water. When I drink milk, I just feel better but when I drink water I feel pale and have less energy.
I'm thinking the water isn't putting the nutrients back in my body, hence why I prefer milk because it has a lot nutrients. What do you guys think?Awww! Little baby bunny! <3

yea i have estregon suppressors on hand and will be visiting my doctor every week or every other week. i also have been frequenting steroid forums and reading as much as i can from there. but trust me, i feel pretty secure about this.
tbh, i don't think i could get to 5'11" 210lbs and still stay at a comfortable bf% naturally.
i appreciate your words anyway.
i don't want to write 10 paragraphs so i'll just keep them in points.
- the possibilities of my body fascinate me
- i want the pressure of needing (not wanting) to train 100x as hard and be much more strict with my diet and lifestyle or else i will potentially fuck up my body.
- i want to gain more muscle/get bigger
- my size and strength will definitely help me in my job (bouncer) supplemented with my years of professional MMA experience and in my other jobs like male-stripping and construction.
and things like being more big, perform better at my job, being more dedicated etc. all have hundreds of rewards branching out from them.

I know it's difficult to accept this, but you're going to need to bring some fat along for the ride in order to acquire the muscle you want. Even pro bodybuilders put on a hefty amount of fat in the off season. You'll be able to put on muscle either way if your diet is in check, but you're going to see bigger gains if you take in more calories, especially when cycling. You gotta eat big to get big. Don't neglect your compounds either, especially deadlifts and squats.
As to your body fat percentage, I'm sure you're well aware of cutting and bulking. You need to be more focused on putting on mass than being able to see your abs, or whatever reason you have. When you go on a cut, you'll be shedding all the fat and revealing your hard earned muscle anyway when you're keeping your protein high and lifting heavy.
The best diet that has ever worked for me has been carb cycling. It's allowed me to put on mostly muscle with minimal fat... and when cutting to drop large amounts of fat very quickly while losing minimal muscle and sometimes even gaining muscle. I freaking love carb cycling but it's not for everyone. It will get you into single digit bf% though at the end of your cut. If you're interested, Google "carb cycling t-nation". I also have a copy of UD2.0 by Lyle McDonald on the topic I can PM you if you like.
To the person that said water is better than milk, you're seriously confused. Water contains zero electrolytes and isn't the best thing to drink when one needs replenishment with said electrolytes. Milk is great in any situation and milk is 80% water so he's getting hydrated regardless. Gatorade is also fantastic, though I prefer the powdered Gatorade because it contains glucose and immediately replenishes muscle and liver glycogen after a rough workout.
If you love milk, drink milk. There's even a diet in the BB community called the GOMAD (gallon of milk a day) diet. Good stuff.

i agree with everything you said but personally, i hate going above 16% to 20% for plenty of reasons. i'll be eating about 7.5k calories a day which shouldn't be hard for me cause i love eating.
and hypothetically if i was to gain 30lbs of muscle and get to 210lbs, not only will it take 5+ years but i will have to get to around 240lbs then lose 30lbs in the cutting phase and that's only if im lucky enough to have 1/2 of my total weight gain to be muscle. to be at 5'11 240lbs, i would have to be well over 30% which will cause me to lose 1 of my jobs, lose my ability to perform everyday tasks efficiently and will definitely put a toll on knee and core.

I know how you feel. I went from 104 to 165 for football in high school and I'm 8 inches shorter than you. I used to make these 3500 calorie shakes that my mom used to call "the purple stuff". I was a steamroller and was shoving down 8k cals a day. Good times. Someone gigantic tackled the shit out of me though and shattered my knee to pieces. Haven't done football since because it took 3 years to heal after several bone/cartilage graft surgeries.
I'm glad you're having a doctor test you frequently while running this cycle. You're stepping into crazy territory with your hormones. I wish you the best of luck, just be like a monk in regards to safety and dieting.
Just FYI, cutting is a thousand times more efficient on a cycle.

So, today i finally started to workout again after a very long hiatus, Injury, Sickness and work. Almost 2 months now not a single workout was done.
I checked my weigh, fat & muscle percentage, and it came as follows:
97.6KG or about 210 pounds
21% fat
38.9% muscle
My workout will consist of Rope jumps, push ups, Running, Stretching and some Abs crunching. Oh, almost forgot, Breakdancing as the main workout!
Any motivation would be helpful from now on

Ease your way back into it, buddy. Just remember that your tendons and ligaments need to adjust before your muscles do. Also, treat stretching as much as part of your regimen as your workouts. It's something a lot of people tend to neglect, but provides a lot of benefit.
Also, I've come to realize you should look for ways to motivate yourself, not look for reassurance in others, because it's hard to come by.
“You got a dream, you gotta protect it. People can’t do something themselves, they wanna tell you you can’t do it. If you want something, go get it. Period.” – Pursuit of Happyness
I think you'll do great. Keep at it, bro. Don't ever let people discourage you.

Breakdancing, makes me stretch for more than 2 hours sometimes!! so the stretching part is covered for sure.
The motivation part, you just gave me a push by mentioning that Quote from one of my favorite Movies! stuff like this is what i'm actually looking for just to get me pumped and practice a lot more.
Thanks Bro. I'll be posting weekly gains and updated weight and Percentage. Hope that will help people get motivated and practice a lot more

I don't think so my friend. There is nothing better for your body than water. Milk may contain more nutrients but water is essential and vital to your health. The benefits of it far outweigh any other liquid....including the mighty gatorade. Now, if a person wants to replace electrolytes after sweating a lot then I would suggest maybe gatorade (which has water in it also)or mineral rich electrolyte water. You can find it at any store. Or you can add a little salt to water to help maintain your sodium levels.
That may be true but how much milk do you see on the sidelines at any sports game? No, you see electrolyte replacements along with water. Stuff like gatorade is made mostly of, sodium, carbs, sugar, syrup(for flavor of the drink)and the main ingredient water.Water contains zero electrolytes and isn't the best thing to drink when one needs replenishment with said electrolytes.
So if a person needs electrolyte replacement with an IV they should replace the water in the bag with milk? Would you tell a lactose intolerant person milk is great in any situation? How many people do you know that have allergies to drinking bottled water? How many soldiers on a battlefield fill up their canteens with milk before a battle?Milk is great in any situation and milk is 80% water so he's getting hydrated regardless. Gatorade is also fantastic, though I prefer the powdered Gatorade because it contains glucose and immediately replenishes muscle and liver glycogen after a rough workout.
I never said she shouldn't drink milk. It does have benefits but it should be consumed in appropriate amounts because drinking too much can cause problems. Now, for you to suggest someone drink milk over water after a workout is just plain ridiculous. If you love milk, drink milk. There's even a diet in the BB community called the GOMAD (gallon of milk a day) diet. Good stuff.
I would only suggest a person consume milk after a workout when drinking it with a protein shake. But a person should never pick plain milk over water after a workout. Especially a person who is trying to lose weight.
And if milk is so great why does it come with an expiration date?Last edited by Sub-stance1; 04-17-2012 at 06:24.
