    Can you please give me some advice or give me a plan on what i should be doing to lose more weight quicker please?

    I joined a gym on the 01/06 and go at least 4 times a week.

    I generally do a mix of cardio and resistance machines. My goal is to loose weight but in seem to be losing weight very slowly. I dont have much money to have a great diet, but i dont really eat that much crap. I weigh a flat 13 stone and am 5"11. Anyone who has seen me says ive lost weight, but i dont feel it/see it.

    Normally in the gym i do a 5min warm up on the treadmill/bike and then do 20mins of HiiT, 30secs flat out then 1min moderate/walking pace.Then a 5min cool down. Then normally i do some upper body work on the resistance machines.

    Can you please tell me what im doing wrong? Or what i can do to lose weight faster? Is HiiT really the best way to lose weight?

    HiiT is definitely the best training. I imagine it will be hard without a coach though. Keep a food diary perhaps.

    Asked a passionate friend of mine about this, and he suggested I could cut out cardio the first year and a half.

    HiiT is literally all i do now. Every other day. But i just dont seem to be shedding the fat THAT quickly

    Your diet doesn't have to be that strict. How is your sugar, alcohol intake? It isn't a fast process.

    You just have to eat less. Period.

    As for cardio, say you need to eat 2000 calories to maintain your current weight. You could either eat 1800 calories and then burn off 300 more with cardio. Or you could just eat 1500 calories.

    What sounds like more effort?

    I dont drink alochol at all and i drink a LOT of Evian, everyday damn day! Sugar? Natural sugars i suppose when i have fruit, but i dont eat sweets etc that oftern

    Im trying to eat less man! Sometimes i dont even eat! (money issues)
    generally i eat breakfast and lunch and then thats it. Today i had a breakfast smoothie, banana, oats, almond milk and strawberries. For lunch i had a 380 calorie ready meal. Ive not got much money so i wont really have a dinner

    Another issue is i suffer with IBS so i look a lot bloated then i actually am and suffer a lot of gut discomfort so i dont think that helps either

    You do HiiT cardio? My experience has been with MMA, but I figure cross-fit can give the similar results.

    Also agree with what's being said about calorie intake.

    Earlier you said you do 5 min warm-up, followed by 20 min of hiit-what? ..ending with 1/2 minute flat and 5 minutes cooldown?

    The hiit you do is treadmill /bicycle? You could consider full-body workout. Cross-fit or martial art drills.

    5min warm up. Gentle running or pedalling

    then i run flat out or pedal as fast as possible for 30 seconds
    then i "rest" for 1min
    i do this for 20mins then end with a 5min cool down (all on a treadmill/stationary bike)

    My gym does offer a body pump class (full body work out) so i may add that into my regime

    started back at the gym today, I don't know if its because I havent really eaten much but my energy/fitness level was rock bottom! I used to be able to run 10-15 mins and still have loads of energy but now I cant even manage 5 minutes

    things can only get better I suppose

    Persist with it mate. I can just about skip after months of trying. Slowly slowly you'll get there and your stamina will too.

    thanks man I definitely hope so! The best I managed was 5 in a row haha, I was there for about an hour just practising and I am worn out!

    I'm doing great. I do a lot of physical activity - 3 x gym, 2 x basketball, and 2 x dancing a week. My only issue is with getting the calories in, as I have very little time. My sugar intake is really low and finally my six pack is popping out, but I would like to gain weight, not lose it. Right now a sprained ankle and finger are impeding my progress.

    Injuries are always an annoying setback. I hope you get back to it quick. I have a hard time consuming solid food for calories, so whenever I'm bulking, the majority of my calories come from healthy shakes. I would recommend giving that a try ... and invest in a really good blender, such as a Blendtec or Vitamix.
