If that a good idea, especially with the bulldozer coming out in a few months?

Always something better around the corner and the 2600k will be plenty when it's ocd anyway. Nor have I seen anything about Bulldozer price or performance wise to think I'll get better bang for my buck elsewhere.

Not seen any promising benchmarks from the test models either.

Editor's note: The original source of the information that Donanim Haber published this week on the alleged AMD Bulldozer engineering sample has admitted that the information was faked. Many sites were fooled by this information, including Ars, particularly because the results were plausible and fit the information we had about Bulldozer so far. Editor Emeritus Jon Stokes vetted our analysis, also believing the information to be true. Bulldozer CPUs are expected to be released in the next couple months, so we should have real results we can look at soon. However, we stand by our analysis, namely that Bulldozer will need to mainly compete on price and not raw performance.

Still not enough to max crysis at 150FPS.

    Which CPU is it?

Red Orchestra 2, who's getting it?

I can't believe I'm looking forward to a WW2 shooter but it actually looks really good

Not my cup of tea really I have played the first game on a few of the free weekends on Steam it was far too slow and realistic for me.
The vids I have seen do look good and have amazing attention to detail.

    D'uh...

Sorry i feel so stupid for not working that out myself especially as i used to played with Warhammer (collected the Tyranids). Unlikely as i never played any of the previous games. Are they worth getting into, they're strategy aren't they?

Hell no, a friend at school used to play it and tried to get us all involved in ti on toyday and it bored us all rigid just like Rimmers Risk story.
It put me off anything warhammer related to this day.

Space Marine is a third person shooter, not an RTS like Dawn of War series.

It's a bloodbath. It's also made by Relic (Dawn of War guys), arguably the best thing to ever happen to Warhammer.

This is one of my most anticipated games, and it releases early September (5th? I think)
