Well now after playing straight 3 hours of mafia 2 i can say that the game is probably one of the most realistic ones I have ever played. The streets look very detailed and alive, the snow and dirt on cars looks extremely realistic and things like gasoline and repair of the motor when its damage make the game great. The story is also nice, I am really enjoying it but cant compared it to the first Mafia story as I havent completed that game. It runs quiet well on my nvidia card, I play on max settings with vertical sync turned off and it runs well most of the time.

Finished Mafia 2 and now plying the DLCs. Guys do you have any racing games recommendations? I have finished NFS MW 2012 a long time ago and dont feel like getting the dlcs for it cause its not worth it in my opinion.

Is Retro city Rampage worth getting? From what I have heard its not an impressive game...

Personally my favourite racing games are the F1 series. 2010 and 2011 are both fantastic. I've not got around to buying 2012 yet but it's probably just as good if not better!

This is all coming from a fan of the sport though so if your not a fan you may not like it as you have to do practice and qualifying sessions.

The standalone was meant to be this month, but got delayed.

Good idea you brought it, arma in its self is really good, especially with other mods like wastelands and some of the co op zombie missions.

Only dislike is the bullet damage is quite annoying ( i put 4 bullets into an enemy, he just turns and kills me instantly :P) but its a nice challenge to have in a sea of easy to play games. Only game is quite some time i really want to carry on playing, even when I am sleeping!

Waiting for gta SA to go on sale and that will probably be it, MP mods look great for it!

Dont Starve is a great hardcore survival game. Really enjoyed my first play, survived till day 13 and then got killed by a beast.

That depends. Retro City Rampage is a love letter to retro gaming. If you're expecting a GTA game, I wouldn't bother picking it up.

Everyone should get Don't Starve.
Its in beta but its already so addicting. Anyone who enjoyed the survival aspect of minecraft should definitely check it out. I got 2 copies as a pre-buy bonus but I already gave my second copy away to a friend or else I would have given it here

Havent played the multiplayer but the grainy graphics on the pc version killed the game for me. Im not that of a graphics guy but that grain killed it for me.

To add these tweaks to Just Cause 2, simply:

1. Right click on "Just Cause 2" in your Steam games list.

I think the above way only removes from the game world and not cutscenes I dotn kow for sure try the above way first see what happens.

There does appear to be some sort of mod to remove film grain from cutscenes. Up to you if you want to try it. If I had the game I would try it first but since I do not I cannot.

The film grain only shows up during the cutscenes for Just Cause 2. I know Left 4 Dead 2 has a film grain effect but you can lower its opacity in the settings.
