Nothing for me today. I'm debating buying 3D Mark as it'll come in handy in the future.

edit: I bought 3D Mark and Assassins Creed 3 today!

Anyone feeling a few multiplayer games anytime soon? I'm well up for some Zombie action in either L4D/2 or DayZ or some Medieval Warfare in Chivalry?

WowI just noticed something fairly cool about steam, if you are logged in on the games list page it tells you which games you have installed and you can install them remotely.

    https://support.steampowered.com/kb_...6324-IGHC-5301

Chivalry look good but Arma - no thanks.

Yeah if you use the Steam app on your phone it is good. I leave my PC on occasionally so it is nice to be able to remotely download games. Only problem is it puts it on your C drive as default when i install my games on a separate HDD.

You need to play DayZ. i know it looks boring in videos but the feeling you get when you are hunting someone. Priceless.
Chivalry goes on sale quite frequently and i strongly suggest picking it up. One of the best games i've played in terms of fun

Chivalry is great, but I already have another game planned.

Have you guys seen the new Humble Bundle? It's an Origin pack, but few are redeemable on Steam.

    http://www.humblebundle.com

I can finally try Battlefield multiplayer.

That's pretty damn good. Although I have them all already. Except Dead Space 3. Might just do it for that and give the others away. Origin though, eugh

BBK I could play Chivalry if you want but I'm $#@!in awful at it. And the game's kinda broken IMO. Good for a laugh still

Haha, i got my first mechanical keyboard today as well. A Ducky Shine 3 with Red Cherry MX's. Which switches did you go for? And yeah, it feels so much nicer than a standard board. Already I don't think I can go back! Plus this thing is built like a tank!

I don't think ill ever understand those things until I get one. What is the advantage?tbh if they're quiet when you press the keys that would be a reason itself to get one!

I was like you man. I always thought they looked like nothing special. until a few weeks ago I was getting ready to buy another Membrane/Dome board (Razer Deathstalker) and then on the off chance i went into Maplins to buy a USB stick and they had a few keyboards out. Me being me I have to touch everything i see so i ran my fingers over WASD and literally in a few seconds i noticed the difference.

Make no mistake, there is a reason why gamers/typists like them so much. I've only played 1 game of L4D on there and a few forum posts but my typing speed has increased already. Highly recommend going to a shop and trying one. I've only experienced red switches so can't comment on others.

I went for red ones too ( since they seem to be more preferred by gamers).

They just feel much better to use. It is pretty hard to describe, it really is something you gotta try to understand.
They feel more precise and just better.

I had a compact laptop style keyboard for like 1.5 years, so a little getting used to but still amazing.

Aye I think I have to take the plunge one day. I really have to have backlit though and if possible a screen so I can monitor my temps.

Yeah it's hard to explain why the feel better without someone using them but believe us, they feel miles better.

I find it really strange that all keyboards during the 90's were mechanical, then suddenly everyone went for rubber domes and mechanical keyboard prices went through the roof... really annoying as they only used to cost a fiver and now 20x that.

Oh well I'll just wait it out. I think I might pick up a Corsair K70 or wait a year or two. I still find it annoying typing on this keyboard as its actuation is too heavy.

Not sure on the actual mechanical part ( most likely improved a lot since then?) but most come with additional features ( backlit, macro's)
But yes, on average a mechanical keyboard is pretty expensive but it is something you will use a lot ( even if not for gaming)

Mechanical boards always were more expensive, it part of why the membrane boards took off. IBM clicky for example.

Is there any real Benefits to SLI for gaming as im really tempted to pass on the PS4 & pick up a Superclocked GTX 770 instead but was wondering whether it was worth keeping hold my SC GTX 570 card to SLI it with & also what PSU would I need as currently have a Corsair 650W V2 but the 570 card needs 500+ Watt on it's own ??
