I doubt one card actually draws 500W all on its own that means you would need a 1KW PSU just for 2 video cards.

    edit
You would still need to buy a new PSU though, two 570s plus your system will require almost 580W between them leaving you about 70 Watts to spare.
    http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages...review,13.html

I dotn think its worth buying another 570 (if you can find one) to SLI because what you save on GPU you will have to spend on a PSU powerful enough to run 2 of them so you might as well spend that extra on a single GPU that will work on your current PSU no problem nd be just as powerful.

The 770 is allegedly just as powerful as a GTX 680.

I wasn't looking to add another 570 ,I was just thinking about pairing my 570 with a 770 but was just wondering whether there where any real Benefits to SLI for Gaming in terms of whether it was worth Keeping hold of my 570 & upgrading my PSU ,my 570 recommends a 550+ Watt PSU so im guessing I would be looking at a 850/1KW PSU to b e able to run both cards

I don't think its possible but if it is The 770 will run at 570 speeds and in PhysX games using the 570 as a dedicated PhysX processor could make the 770 run slower than if the 770 did all the physX and graphics rendering.

Cheers for the Info Keefy I might just get a 4GB 770 version instead & just sell my 570 as I have seen a MSI 770 4GB TWIN FROZR & a EVGA 770 4GB FTW DUAL ACX for 360 delivered The only problem is the EVGA card is in the US which will mean I would have to wait a while for Delivery

Why did you go for a GTX590? You should've gone for the GTX680 for 10 cheaper and it runs much better, cooler, less power and a hell of a lot quieter.

Looking forward to this game! I always have a little laugh when I see people arguing about realism in Battlefield and CoD. They are both ridiculously arcades (and tiny) compared to this game.

Realism: The true fun destroyer of many games.
I get enough realism every day of my life, I play video games to escape the real world.

PC all setup and running great now. Got the 4770k at 4.4 and haven't really bothered fiddling with the HTX 780 as it isn't struggling with anything I'm playing yet even at 1440p. BBK, I'm near Bristol! Sort of, closer to Bath. I was thinking about getting a PS4 but then I wondered what the point would be and I think I'll add another GTX 780, just in case you know.

Nice! No better place than the south west!

You're right, there isn't much point of me getting a PS4 at all. As with this generation, if you want no compromise gaming then PC is the only place you can play. PS4 will just be getting used as an exclusive box. i'm hopefully going to drop in another GTX780 around December time. I'm only playing at 1080p currently but I'm really debating moving up to a 2560x1440 display soon, I just really want one with 120Hz without the need to overclock it.

    bought 2 new games recently.

Contagion - Yet another Zombie game but it looks quite fun. Not had a chance to play it yet but hopefully will over the next few days. It's still in Beta and only 12 on Steam but it looks very promising. Looks like another co-op Zombie game that i could get stuck into. Even looks like it does things better than L4D in some areas.

And also Killing Floor which looks like a bit of mindless fun. Perfect. Plus it is on sale for 3.70-something

Will be picking up BF4 and CoD: Ghost soon so if anyone wants some multiplayer action - hit me up.

I'm going to wait for 4k to come down in price before I move on from 5760x1080. The triple monitor setup is really nice and can run most things above 60FPS on a lonely GTX680 however with 4k I'll be required to have a display port so I might as well hang on till then. But SLI-ing at the end of the year and upgrading the monitor? Hmm I'm not too sure about doing anything like that yet, wouldn't the microstutter be a pain?

In fact after G-Sync being announced I'd honestly advise you to wait till you hear from others about how that works out before upgrading the monitor or card, in fact if it works like a charm on a monitor you'll want then there might not be a need to add another card.

btw looking at killing floor and contagion reminded me, why do these PC only games look so $#@! (purely from a graphical point of view)? Is it the small team and funds? because something like project cars is proof that given enough time and money you can make some really good stuff when you go pc exclusive

Yes, they're small teams. Killing Floor is old, and did you see Contagion's kickstarter? They asked for 50k dollars.

Both games are not AAA and never costed 60bux when new, they cost maximum 1/4 of that and in sales you can get them for a fiver.
Killing floor started out as a FREE mod for Unreal tournament 2004.

    Project cars isnt PC exclusive.

It's also being made by ex-Simbin/NFS Shift employees and being funded like Star Citizen, not quite as much but they're at about €4m.

DOTA 2 has 5 times the amount of players than TF2, CS, CS:S, CS:GO combined.

Peaked at over half a million concurrent - and that's during a working week! I Would hate to think how many people played LoL at peak times, it must easily hit the millions.

Has anyone played the Stanley Parable demo? It's stand-alone and quite funny. If you like something unique, it's definitely worth the try, it's an interesting take on game narrative. I haven't purchased the full version yet.
