I finally finished Resistance 2, after leaving it aside for over two years.
Gameplay - 7. Mechanics are solid, and even entertaining and accurate. But, the AI tends to be a bit "disciplined," and far too lethargic to be a strong AI.
Story - Bland, with very few peaks. The ending was interesting, and the random radio enunciations from the time period gave a sort of mood, but the build up was very lack luster and rare.
Online - A good, resortable standard, really. The cooperative was very gripping and easy to maintain, while still being part of a group. Competitive was a normal shooter, with really cool guns.
All in all, I give this a very solid 7. The game was fun, and higher difficulties give the story a more balanced and paced feel that other shooters could learn to emulate, but the story could be better told by Ben Stein. Work is definitely needed, and I have high hopes that Resistance 3 makes Resistance 2 a bad memory.

Currently playing through Castlevania: Lords of Shadow (on Chapter 10 atm). Good game so far, neat puzzles and some solid boss fights. Like all games in the genre though, can get a bit repetitive at times. As for the story, I've not yet discovered the end but so far it's quite good. And the game's actually quite long compared to similiar games... I must be nearly 15hrs in and I've still got 2-3 chapters to go plus I've not done 100% on a single chapter so far.

First and last Game i Finished on the PS3 - well, i bought it one week ago, give me the time to finish moar games - is Infamous 2.
Nice Game, nothing wrong with it. the User Made Missions are a nice way to add longevity to the game since, after sometime, the Secondary Missions looks all the same.
Beated it at Normal as an Hero, after finishing the first i will return on the 2nd as an Infamous.
ps: I think the 1st one is more difficult than the 2nd. it is my impression or what?

Finished Mass Effect 2 yesterday, put in 55hours into it then went back and got some trophies I missed (mainly fighting ones like warp a barrier off 20 times, etc) All I need is insanity playthrough for my platinum, sigh ;(
But really, MassEffect2 is definitely one of the best games this gen, I loved everything about it and the ending was fantastic - I cant wait for ME3.
Gameplay - 9. When you get the right setup of guns and powers going through rotations, or when your having to go all defensive behind cover and string a few attacks together with your squad mates, its fucking awesome. The controls are tight and responsive - I hated the cross hair in the game though, would've been nice to change it
Story - 9.5. I thought the story was fantastic, the depth and scale that bioware has created is EPIC. The universe and the story that collides different worlds and races is awesome. The course of the story could be seen as a bit predictable, but nevertheless it was captivating and enthralling - and getting to choose major twists and turns in the game is ofcourse one of the best parts about this series
Graphics - 8.5. Some jaggies here and there and some charactar physics seemed and looked awkward, but all in all the graphics compliment the universe fantastically.
Sound - 9.5. GREAT! The voice acting in particular was astounding, although sometimes lacked the proper tone of voice. The score towards the end of the game really pumped me up as well as the ending, it captured the desperation of humanity but the willingness and determination to fight
Replayability - 10. With the different kinds of appearances and gender you can have for your Shepard, it makes this game much easier to pick up and play again, as well as the different relationships, squad and classes you can choose - You can really experience the same game differently, many times
Overall - 9.5/10

Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Gameplay 9.5/10- This game is just truly originalis just truly amazing in this department. There are endless ways that you can go about get around and towards your objective. Such as if you find a room with 3 guards in it you could gun them down, stealth kill them all, distract them one by one and bringing them into the shadows batman style, or completely sneak around them. Deus Ex give you a sense of freedom to play how you want but not penalizing you in doing so. Each aspect has their strong points but no of them have a bad downfall. Your augmentations (Artificial Organs) can be upgraded in many ways to help you style of play. Like you eye augs can be upgraded to see enemies cone of visions, and how long they will be in alarm mode.
There is just so much stuff to explore in the game as well as so much to hack. Hacking is a fun mini game, for a while. But it got a little stale towards the end but I hacked absolutely everything in sight. There is a good selection of guns in the game. Some to dispatch enemies without killing them and some that will one shot. A few futuristic guns too. In Basic this game handles well and is just so much fun. Some people complained about the R3 sight function. It is awkward but I basically never used it. The game doesn't rely heavily on shooting, more about stealth.
Graphics 7/10- This is the place where the game lacks the most. The graphics are just literally not that good, simply ok. It doesn't look terrible but a bit dated. Think 08-09. The environment doesn't suffer as bad as the character models do because there is an original look to everything and it looks a bit more polished. Cut scenes are completely cut out like a PS1 game which kind of has a jarring effect and they still don't look as good as they should. There is also a strange darkness to the videos. Looked like it was always in a room with minimal lighting.Always put me off.
Story 10/10- The story stands out as one of the best that I have played in a while. It has a futuristic mix to it that works wonderfully. Some of the great movies like Blade Runner have their mark on this. It just works so well. The story mostly focuses around Augmentations place in society and how there is an ongoing social war going on about the morality of the technology. But it runs much much deeper than that. Trust me. This story has a MGS feel to it which gave no complaints from me.
Sound 8.5/10- The sounds in this game pack a punch. There were multiple times where I could feel the air from my sub woofer that is 7 feet in front on me! All the guns sound good. But what does bring this down is the voice acting. It is mostly miss but not complete trash. Just some of the characters sound very awkward, Most notably Adam Jensen's boss David Sarif. Got on my nerves. Some are good some are bad some are ok. Doesn't kill the game though.
Relayability 10/10- There are so many ways to play this game that you could go through it probably 5-6 times and never play it the same. Not to mention there is just so much stuff to explore so if you missed it first time, you can go through it again. This game is meant to be played more than once. There are moral options that will affect how the story goes too, so all the more reason to go through it again just to see how things play out. Also 4 different ending but you could reload like I did to check them out. Took me about 35 hours to beat on Normal but I was much slower than most because I basically looked at everything in sight and took it slow.
Overall 9.5/10- This game is just so much fun. You really are only hurting yourself by not playing this game. It is probably the best game that I have played since Uncharted 2. My GOTY option.

I have a few that i bought cheaply so will post.
Star Wars: Force Unleashed 2; Just seemed to breeze through the story, not a lengthy game at all, pretty disappointing if you ask me, was expecting more from it since i enjoyed the first game, still beautiful graphics make it better, just not enough substance to call it an excellent game, still enjoyed playing it for the couple hours that it lasted. 7/10 (only because i enjoyed the first one so much....)
Mafia 2; Again another great game, just disappointing the way it ended, expected a LOT more from the game itself and it didn't deliver for me at all, missions where ...okay? But could have had so much more potential that it didn't grasp and take control of, for me this game gets rated 6.7/10
Brink; Fun! Action packed different FPS, and i love it, the "free-running" playing style on a shooter is nice, and the graphics aren't terrible either, could be better still, IMHO, but hey what can you expect?? Game rated 6.5/10
Batman: Arkham Asylum; Really started loving this game when i got it for Ł12.99, yes i know, bargain!! Still my gameplay was ruined when i got the dreaded "Game Data Corrupt" so i deleted then re-installed and i still got it, still looking for a fix that works so i can carry on the enjoyment, but not hoping for much, still game gets a 7.5/10
As of now i have a couple more but still playing with them for now!!·· Elite ··

I just finished Assassin's Creed 2 an hour ago. I loved it! You guys were right, just because I didn't love AC1 doesn't mean I should skip AC2. I loved all of it, the way the game looks, the music, the gameplay, and even the confusing story. Heck, I am utterly confused about the ending. If they're not Gods, then that makes them aliens, right? So confused, what in the world was she talking about? Who are the people in the glyps after you solve the puzzle or whatever? Who was that woman Altair was with?
I hope Brotherhood will clear some things up. Yes, I will be getting Brotherhood.
Overall I give Assassin's Creed II:
9 stars out of 10. One best games I've played this gen.Awww! Little baby bunny! <3

Captain America - Super Soldier
Gameplay is fun, can get a little repetitive at times, but motivates enough to want to come back to it. Boss fights can be intense when you just started to get the hang of it, depending on your difficulty setting.
Graphics are okay in my book. There are games out there that surely score better in the graphics dept. but I think the looks fit the comic style.
Controls are easy to pick up, no need to study a manual for hours to try and get the hang of it.
Happy with my purchase and having a good time playing through the game.
Overall, I give the Captain a 7.5 out of 10.

After being separated from my game collection for 5 months having gone through Federal Law Enforcement Training, I got back home and promptly beat Metal Gear Solid 4. Great game. Mechanics are sound. Graphics tight. Story, while still confusing, finally started to make sense and ended well. And this game probably has one of the coolest final battles in videogame history. 9.0 out of 10.

The Official "I just finished a game" Thread + Impressions
So I thought I would try this thread out. If you have recently finished a game, tell us which one, and what your overall impressions are now that you have played right through the game. Lets keep this a spoiler free thread though, or use spoiler tags amd make it evident that they contain info regarding story/plot. The main jist of the thread is to share your thoughts now that the game is finished. To kick it off...
Heavy Rain.
I have had this game in my collection for ages but recently decided to play it. I thought that it starts off abit slow but when you get a bit into the game, the plot was so engaging and exciting, and I love that you have to react to the game and live with the consequences. It made all of the critical points in the game so exciting to play. The whole game was solid and everything was an important part of the plot so it was all very raw and pure. The ending was awesome and really unexpected.
Games like this are a magical and unique experience that really breathe a breath of fresh air into an increasingly mundane and formulated industry.PSU GHOST SYNDICATE - DUST 514 Media HUB - Podcast - BLOG (Soon™)

I beat Resident Evil 4 HD (PS3) yesterday. Even after 6-7 years, it's still a top quality title, and I enjoyed every moment of it. I'll be starting my Professional Run some time today, and then Separate Ways afterwards. If you have somehow not played this game yet, stop torturing yourself and go get it.
p.s. Quality thread. Helps function as a 'Recommendations' thread too.

I thought about making a thread like this but i changed my mind

Anyways, i beat MGS4 again recently and now i'm on my BBE run.
The game is amazing. Even though people complained about the cut scenes, i though they we're enjoyable.
The gameplay is good of course. You can play run or gun or stealth even though it's more of a stealthy game.
