Forum Hall of Fame

I was thinking for awhile that it would be awesome if there was a Hall of Fame in the Announcement section. It would also be cool if this Hall of Fame was continued on the next forum (PS4FORUMS) but that's far down the road. The Forum Staff would have their discussions and select when to put someone into the Hall of Fame. Once The people are selected their forum name would be put in the Hall of Fame as well as a summary of why they were put there.

I like this idea, and I think that all, post's of the month, should go into the hall of fame

i like this idea too mabe they should take the posts of the month and keep them together until the ps4 forums and put them in as a example of what to post.

Yeh this is a good idea i think.

It shows whats expected of good honest decent posts, plus most of the topics ive seen, well actually theres only been one so far lol, but true poets post is bound to be helpful for new people visiting the site that dont know too much about programming terms and the like, hell i even found something i hadnt heard of, FFAA i think it was.

So yeh i think posts like this should get noticed more, although wouldnt it be better if it was in the general category, i mean Hall of Shame is in there, why not just put this in with it as well, makes sense really.

Yes that does make alot of sense and it sounds like a great idea in my mind, i hope a mod or admin will come and look at this thread and post their ideas because this is almost a better idea IMO then the summary of the month thing.

Would it be possible to put a stickied post in the hall of fame forum, even if it is stickied on a different forum? The semantics post shouldn't be moved, as it is a big help, but it would be nice to see it in a hall of fame forum thing.

You could just quote the post? Then it could still stay where it was but he could still get the credit by labeling the quote, would that work?

Yeh i would guess quoting would work, from the things ive learnt on how these forums work recently, ive not seen anyway to be able to duplicate a post somewhere else the way your thinking.
Quoting would probably be the best way, plus it also means after the quote, there could be a little comment to say why this was a Post of the Month or Forum Hall of Fame worthy i guess

Well, I'm going to assume that most people who get the "post of the month award" would be on this site fairly frequently, so maybe you could just ask them to repost it, that way you could have two copies. Easier fix than I would have thought...

Hold on. Are you forgetting about Shadow topics Rebon? Why not just move the topic to the hall of fame, but keep a shadow topic in the original place? Surely that is the solution I think.

Yeah theres your problem. After you move a topic even with the shadow topic still located. The shadow topic gets posts, but it doesn't move to the top of forum I believe.

Well, that one is a sticky, but other posts of the month might not be worth keeping stickied for a long time.
