it's chugging away nicely at the moment. Playing all games maximum settings without a slip bellow 60fps and the best bit is that it is nice and quiet... ish. The loudest part of it is my water reservoir because of the way the water flows into it you get a trickling noise. Much quieter than before though, my last PC sounded like a jet plane

Adobe needs to release its suite of apps for Linux. I wouldn't mind switching to it then.

Love Classic Shell. Haven't used the other two so I can't compare.

I prefer it over the other two. It's very customizable.

Microsoft has done nothing regarding the Start Menu complaints in Windows 8.1. They put a "Start Menu" there, but it's just a list of all the things from the Metro UI, which can be accessed already by clicking the Windows Button + X. It's a essentially an obnoxious list button. You'll still need to use Classic Shell in 8.1, which is still the best alternative anyway.

It's strange ... on some systems I've had Windows 8 runs better and on others ... like my recent laptop that came with 8 ... runs better with 7. <_<

    Man. Corsair $#@!ing rock.

My beloved SP2500's speakers died a few weeks ago and they are about 6 months out of warranty so i was getting prepared to buy a new set of 2.1's for my gaming activities as my 7.1 headphones were starting to get on my tits. i thought it would be a long shot to see if there would be anyway i could repair them myself as these are the best 2.1 speakers i've ever heard and they said no. But instead what they would do is pay for shipping for me to ship them to them and they'll send me new ones, completely free of charge.

I sent them from the UK on Monday to the Netherlands and i'm getting them delivered back to me today! Can't fault their customer service

I'm so glad. I was getting ready to have to buy some Edifer S730's which would've set me back £350 so i'm over the moon now. I knew there was a reason i bought so much corsair stuff!

Do yourself a favour and ditch the 7.1 head phones if they are getting on your tits and get a quality set of Stereo phones with a decent sound card. The sound card front I have not much idea about these days but I do know decent one makes a difference compared to on board.

I've got a wicked set of 2.1 headphones i use for DJ'in which are the Sennheiser HD25 II's but I can't ever be bothered to unplug it from my mixer If you're serious about your music i recommend buying some!

I mainly bought the 7.1's for playing at night (due to the SP2500's being damn loud) and to use as a microphone. They're not all that bad and they switch from 2.1 to 7.1 but i'm more getting annoyed with wearing headphones when playing in general

I always bought headsets with a mic attached but lately I am thinking just about phones and some sort of desktop mic, I saw a pair of Sennheisers a while ao that look quite funky but feel really nice and actually fit my head (I tried them on the last time I went to Scan computers) The current headset I use is a bit big even ont he smallest setting so any slight movement and it can fall off.

    And a mic like this

I really have to get more ram for the iMac. 8gb doesn't feel enough.

18GB doesn't feel enough, sadly memory prices are ridiculous now..
I just have just gone for the full 24GB when I had the change. (Most my Motherboard can handle.)

I take if you edit video or do other immensely RAM-intensive activities.
