Thought you guys might be interested in this and to hear what you make of their negativity (they seem to be really hard to impress), not to mention, complete unawareness as being game journalists (£150 for the psp2!?)

definitely makes u guys look bad. ive never seen people so disappointed with something they've never got their hands on haha. Like i understand the speculation: how the touch pad will feel and work, and how those things will be implemented, but that doesnt translate into having a disappointing product. I'm very happy with the way the PSP2 was developed (2 analog sticks FTW, 4x PSP screen resolution, physical games!) and I love that they didnt stray away from the look of the first PSP too much.
I'm definitely planning on gettin one as long as its not priced over $300 ahaha (which is a possibility since sony thought the PSP Go would be competitive for $250. youch)

I don't like how people are basically saying " it has no 3D, so its crap" and how they are comparing it to the 3ds. Do people compare the ps3 and wii? nope. The 3ds is basically gonna be ds but with 3d capability.
If you like ps3 and hardcore games then you will find the psp2 more fun ( gaming wise).
They are forgetting the fact that the games that will be available on the NGP will be games that we play on the ps3 and 360 ( but not with not as good graphics) but on the move, so we can play games like uncharted and killzone while we are on the bus, at collage, at work or on a long road trip.
A psp2 is a big improvement over the psp and thats why i think it will be very good.

PSP2 is gonna be easier to pirate now that the games are coming on flash cards like the DS.

But 3D without glasses in a portable device is a pretty big breakthrough. Although, I really can't stand watching 3D for more than a couple minutes, so it's really not suited for me. And without the 3D, the 3DS is just a very expensive DS with low battery life.
Although I'd be interested in the battery life of the NGP AND THE PRICE!!
I find the sentiments to be kinda ironic. Before everybody complained "omg, it's just PS2 ports/spinoffs, why would I want that? I have a PS2." But now when you ask what they want on PSP2, they're like "uh, Gran Turismo, Little Big Planet, Mass Effect, Elder Scroll." -_____-Last edited by rbrtchng; 01-27-2011 at 20:32.

Must every thing be a competition with the media and fans? Jesus Flacking christ people..Just hope that it runs out to be a great product as well as the 3DS.that's good for all gamers, both hardcore -the target market for the PSP2- and the 3DS -who's target are casual gamers- so I don't see why it has to compete with the 3DS when just like their predecessor, neither are direct competitors.I will be buying the PSP2,because it suites my gaming taste/needs.All 3 companies are making money and are successful so none of them needs to do anything drastic to survive Geez.
I had to vent, sick of people comparing the PSP2 and the 3DS.

Funny how you talk of ignorance, when you yourself are guilty of it right here.
3DS is NOT "basically DS with 3D capability", that just shows you know just as little of 3DS as the people you are criticizing.
3DS is getting home console-like games such as Street Fighter IV 3D, Metal Gear Solid, Kingdom Hearts, Resident Evil, Saint's Row and whatnot. They are both capable of big games that don't have to lose much if at all to what home consoles offer, other than the audiovisuals. PSP2 is just closer to PS360 than 3DS, but 3DS is already powerful enough to allow for some impressive enough stuff. They are forgetting the fact that the games that will be available on the NGP will be games that we play on the ps3 and 360 ( but not with not as good graphics) but on the move, so we can play games like uncharted and killzone while we are on the bus, at collage, at work or on a long road trip.
The jump from DS to 3DS is basically just as big if not relatively speaking even BIGGER than the jump from PSP to PSP2. the only difference is they are going from a ~N64-level handheld to a Wii+ level one, whereas PSP was already almost like a portable PS2, so if they only improved to similar specs as 3DS, it would be quite small a jump from PSP.A psp2 is a big improvement over the psp and thats why i think it will be very good.

I'm sorry but i cant see how the jump from the DS is bigger than the jump from the psp to psp2... I understand about the 3D business that doesn't add anything to the game... but beyond that its a DS with an analog stick and the expected jump in graphics quality. Sure, having 3D without glasses is an accomplishment, so long as ur in the exact angle to see the effect, but I don't see that as being a bigger jump than what the psp2 brought forth. Two analog sticks, front touch screen with 4x resolution of the psp, back touch pad, cameras, 3G. I'd say thats pretty freakin sweet.
And who doesn't want to be able to play console-quality games on the go? I dont get why people want games made for "portables" that are different than games on consoles. I understand, and agree that new IPs focussed on portable gaming would be wonderful, but i'm so happy i'll be able to play games like Uncharted everywhere i go, and not just Angry Birds. Buying a portable device is like buying another gaming platform, so it should be able to play games that are competitively as good as my other gaming platforms (ps3/360). Being able to play Uncharted anywhere i go is a dreammm!

Being unable to see stereoscopic images due to my left eye being a bit crap, 3D is one piece of tech where I am, for once, happy to just sit back and laugh at people debating over it! As for the unit itself, I think SONY have done themselves proud with this - I can't wait to get my hands on a white one. It's everything I would kinda' expect out of a PSP2 and then some.
Phat boy gone slim!
