Yeah Demon's Souls wasn't much better but i hoped that gwyndolyn would say something at the end or anything...
DS lore is so cool but it seems that they just can't be bothered to tell it.

Infinite Souls/Humanity Exploit
Cheating isn't for everybody. But then neither is Dark Souls' punishing difficulty. If the game has you stumped, or perhaps you just want to experiment with the power of having infinite souls, check out the exploit below. Don't like cheats? Let Namco know you want the game patched. Or just ignore the text below. Cheers!
In order to complete this exploit, you'll need to have joined the Path of the Dragon Covenant at the end of Ash Lake. This will reward you with the Dragon Head Stone item. You also need either the Grass Crest Shield or the Cloranthy Ring. The shield is found near the bonfire in Darkroot Basin, while the ring is located at the top of The Great Hollow. These two boost your stamina recovery, allowing you to use the exploit for as long as you want.
Unequip any headgear you may have and make sure that the only two items you have in your usable slots are the Dragon Head Stone and the Estus Flask. The next part is strange and requires some very quick and precise timing. Have your character face away you with the Dragon Head Stone equipped. As soon as you use the item, turn around so that you are now facing the camera, while simultaneously hitting down on the D-Pad and holding the use button again. If your timing worked, you're character will enter the fire-breathing animation, but instead will continually use whatever item you ended up switching to. This will last for as long as you hold down the "Use" button, long after you run out of whatever item it is.
We recommend getting the technique down using the Estus Flask so that you can just refill them at a bonfire afterword. It's important to note that you will lose whatever item it is at the end of the technique.
This exploit can be used in two major ways. If used with Humanity, you can raise your Humanity level to as high as you want to. Secondly, you can use it with any soul item to gain as many souls as you desire. As long as you keep holding down the button, your soul count will continually raise in increments of whatever the initial value was. Using this exploit with an item like the Soul of a Hero will give you 10000 souls per second for as long as you want.
Keep in mind two things. One, using this to raise your soul level higher will most likely mean you will have little to no multiplayer interaction; you can only interact with other players within 10 soul levels of yourself. Second, using this glitch in a game that derives its enjoyment from difficulty sort of defeats the purpose. If you jack up your soul level and cease to have any challenge versus anything in the game what fun is it?

Old convo but I didnt find the "stay under Sif" strategy worked for me. I always ended up rolling into his sword, I finally beat him by rolling AWAY then running in at good moments and getting two hits off, then roll away as fast as possible.
Probably took longer, but it worked. Plan to turn it into that cursed sword so I can run around new londo(?) ruins without needing cursed.

So basically if you want to beat the game so you can look all cool hip to all your friends online and off but you lack the skill use this and you can be a cool cat and no one will know.
Not saying you are but people who use this cheat do not want to play the game they just want trophies so they can brag about it.

Finally got the 10 souvenirs of reprisal. No more getting jumped in Anor Londo.
Downside is the rewards for all that effort are pretty lame. The darkmoon talisman isn't very good and the moonlight blade miracle is only 1 use, just like sunlight blade. FROM really gave faith players the shaft in this game.
Please refrain from using offensive / racial slurs. ~ OSX

meh, I'm going to trade this in. i really liked it but once I hit level 58, I was just thinking to myself " I really have no time for this". If the online part was worth a damn, I would probably keep it longer but from what I've read about this vs Demons souls, the online sure got butchered. Currently I am doing the boss fight in anor londo smough and that other dude, died 10 times, Even went onto youtube to see how they did it, but for me Nooooooooooooooooooooo the boss has to turn into a cheap little prick. I always get the skinny dude down first but then it's the fat guy that will get a hit off me, once I get up he does the same thing over and over again. There is, believe it or not, no way out for me once he gets me with that rush move. At some point I have to hit the guy in order to beat this area of the game, but for me it's like the AI is griefing. takes me about 6 to 7 shots to take out the skinny dude, so my power and armor is really good, but yea. cheap bullshit and it just gets worse every time I fight those pricks.

I still need to help 8 people to kill a boss to get the requirements for the sunlight cov down but noone seems to summon me :\
I don't know what to do, am i supposed to stand around for 30minutes hoping someone will summon me or what? BS
-

I had the same problem the whole way through my first playthrough. Would wait hours and no one ever summoned. Then I got to end-game and it's amazing for co-op. And for duels. So don't bother with it until there if you can't get summoned easily elsewhere. In 2 hours I got summoned around 20 times and helped killed Gwyn 15 or 16 times
I have found it much easier to get summoned in Anor Londo now that I'm higher level, although most people are only interested in jumping invaders, so that wouldn't get you sunlight medals.

Short answer: Yes.
Long answer: Yeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssssssss.

(It's irritating but maybe people here can help by summoning you? Something worth trying to arrange?)

Ok if anyone on NG+ needs to kill the 4 kings and is around SL117, please for the love of god summon me so we can kick their ass(es)

-

Too late, I got help from some japanese guy and we beat 4Kings using Halberd+Crystal Ring Shield combination.

Also, I failed in my task and I don't know why... why didn't Solaire appear in Anor Londo? I did talk to him earlier and I even summoned him in the boss fights. Yet still...

I'm not really sure who's post your replies are directed at but cool story bro

I think DkS looks better then DeS, some things look "equally bad" but some sceneries are really awesome and the draw distance is sweet for a console too.
I'd like to ask you guys which SL you are atm on ng+
The problem is im not sure whats the "normal" level for NG Anor Londo for example.
Haven't leveled up in aeons because im afraid of minimizing my coop chances even further...

I'm SL 116 but I was around 95 when I got to NG+ Anor Londo. I've just been squatting there for 4-5 days doing co-op and pvp, levelling up occasionally when I had like half a million souls and thought best to use em. I throw most of my souls at buying stuff like prism stones and stamina green leaf things though lol.
I'm not sure what a normal level would be but I have seen a lot of co-op action since about level 100. I would advise not to go over 125

Cool, sounds like im at a fairly reasonable level then with 117.
Maybe ill have more luck with coop in anor londo.
The fight against Ornstein and Smough is pretty hard so i hope ill see some action there
P.s. Got my ass handed to me by the 4 kings for playing defensive.
Maybe i should have just bumrushed them like i did in the first playthrough.Last edited by Beast of Bourbon; 10-24-2011 at 15:01.

You got a ring from Centipede Demon. When you wear it you take minimum damage from lava. You need to use it.
Also there is a door on left in the place where you fought Centipede Demon. Its hard to see from far away, I accidentally found it when I was playing with that lava ring.Man who chase after bus get exhausted, man who run in front of bus get tired

Bed of Chaos is still the cheapest boss ever made.

I like it, it was different and when I figured out how to kill it, I just had to say "clever girl".
If there is some boss which I hate its Butterfly. Damn unpredictable moves. And Titanite Demons from mini bosses -_-Man who chase after bus get exhausted, man who run in front of bus get tired

Bed of Chaos was the worst boss ever i hate that thing with a passion.
Cheap sweeps punching you don the hole, then you have to jump down to that fucking root - worst boss in the game, i raged so hard.
Now in Anor Londo before Smough / Ornstein - still can't get summond for the life of me
gahhhh
I killed 4 invaders and was magically backstabed by another (took almost my whole lifebar) while i waited, still no dice :\Last edited by Beast of Bourbon; 10-24-2011 at 22:03.

theres an easy way to kill bed of chaos. sprint to one sphere, attack, quit. when you reload, your in the boss room. sprint to second, attack, quit. Reload, sprint up the middle and dwn the tree path. Actually super easy. I've also been invaded a few times with super laggy people. annoys the hell outta me that they stab the air, and magically appear behind me.

Somebody get me a doctor, I ain't feelin' ill ...But I ain't feelin' this at all...
