GIVEAWAY: DC Comics (U.K. only) [COMPLETE]

With the recent release of DC Universe Online, we thought now was the perfect time to offer some sweet comics to one lucky U.K. community member. The five books we have to offer are published by DC Comics in the U.S. and Titan Books in the U.K.

To enter, leave a comment below (or on this article) telling us which book sounds the most interesting. We will select one winner at random by Feb. 18. The winner will receive information via the email they used to register for PSU. You must be 18 to enter, and you MUST be a resident of the U.K.

Check out details on the books below:

    Blackest Night
Throughout the decades, death has plagued the DC Universe and taken the lives of heroes and villains alike. But to what end? As the war between different colored Lantern Corps rages on, the prophecy of the Blackest Night descends. Now it’s up to Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps to lead DC’s champions in the battle to save the Universe from an army of undead Black Lanterns made up of the fallen Green Lanterns and DC’s deceased heroes and villains.

    Batman: Year One
Lieutenant James Gordon takes up a new post in the crime-ridden and corrupt city of Gotham, while billionaire Bruce Wayne returns to the scene of his parents’ deaths, intent on avenging their memory. Each faces trials and challenges of their own, only for their lives to become irrevocably and potentially tragically intertwined...

    Superman: Earth One
    J. Michael Straczynski joins forces with rising star artist Shane Davis to create this original graphic novel that gives new insight into Clark Kent’s transformation into Superman and his first year as the Man of Steel. This is the first in a new wave of original DC Universe graphic novels, featuring top writers’ and illustrators’ unique takes on DC characters.

    Wonder Woman: Love & Murder
Wonder Woman has found her place after the Infinite Crisis — posing as Agent Diana Prince — but her world is soon thrown into turmoil as Circe resurfaces with a cunning and malevolent new plan, and the Amazons, led by her mother, Hippolyta, attack America! Can the daughter of Themyscira stop the disaster about to unfold?

    Batman: Arkham Asylum Anniversary Edition
In Gotham City’s home for the criminally insane, Batman confronts his arch-nemeses, including the Joker, Two-Face and more. Before the battle is over, Batman’s mental straight-jacket will have been torn apart, exposing his every weakness and bringing him far closer to his foes than he could ever possibly have wanted!

    Red face

Well, I’ve been a green lantern fan since forever, and even though my favourite lantern is Hot head Guy Gardner, and Sinestro I keep as #2.

Wow!!!! How time flies. Hard to believe it’s been like 3 years (if memory serves me well) since the Blackest Night was first hinted in Sinestro Corps War series and the end of the war. I so loved how it was hinted with the grave yard scene with one hand above ground (Black corps) - Epic.

The next series that followed was Rage of the Red Lanterns, following the aftermath of the Sinestro war. I liked how Sinestro, tried to convey to H.Jordan that even though he was now imprisoned for crimes he committed during the Sinestro War and lost the battle against the Green L.corps he won the WAR. By Driving The Guardians to inact a new law that ultimately changed the corps forever. Also mentioned in the series were other Corps introduction - Red Lanterns (Atrocitus's origin and revenge on Sinestro, Blue and Violet. And once again Sinestro (my #2 ) driving Hal Jordan ( so called the greatest of them all) to succumb to his emotions, hence leading to him joining the Red Corps has he had great rage. Even though his membership with Atrocitus and Co. was short lived, I enjoyed it nonetheless.

To me, if I had to choose between all comics. Will forever be a G.Lantern fan and will definitely go for Blackest Night. I got the impression Blackest Night had so many Tie-ins unlike the predecessors, I might be wrong. Moreover, I've been on a long comic book reading hiatus - busy, busy, busy. I so need to get back on board.

I'm going to go with Batman AA. After the game, more batman in the setting would be awesome.

Also, the first response in this thread deserves to win simple because its an awesome post compared to all the others.
