Modern Warfare 2 on the PS3 Getting a Patch Next Week, Disables Hacking

Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling announced today that a patch will be coming on March 8th that basically the addresses the hacking on Modern Warfare 2.

Since the PS3 jailbreak has become very common to everyone, a lot of PS3 are users are hacking their way through the leaderboards and the rankings of Modern Warfare 2. Finally, those issues will be finally be addressed starting March 8th as Bowling confirmed that a patch is coming. As for the other platforms, the patch is still in pending and should be coming out shortly.

alot of people still play mw2 , me my brother and all my friends still play it, theres always lots of people online, sorry but blackops isent that good, its good but its not that good.

I actually think it's better then MW2. The only problems and it's a game breaker is the constant disconnections from servers, the failed host migration or whatever, the random booting, and the fact that it's so difficult just to join a group of friends. I keep on reading up on this game hoping that whatever patch will fix it but notice they completely gave up on it. Those right there are definitely a gamebreaker for me and quite frankly it was the last straw for me to play any type of call of duty game.

I am quite boggled by the fact that they are not even trying to fix the problems on the PS3 that are making it difficult to play the freakin game. There really isn't a good excuse no matter how many times they try to pull one out of their ***, they just flat out refuse to. LOL

oh, COD4 I guess is still getting all the attention on the PC :X I still consider COD4 the best COD.

This is very good news as me and all my friends still play mw2. I hope the patch addresses other glitches as well. I hate ending up in hacked lobbies.

until there is dedicated secure servers cod will always have hackers.

I still play this game even without the map packs, I still play it. Main reason is because Black Ops is just pure lag for me. In Blops, most of the time, I get three bars of connection but even with three or a full bar connection, I'm still lagging. Treyarch doesn't care about their fans on the PS3 version of the game. However, on MW2, no lag whatsoever. Glad that there's an upcoming patch that addresses the hackers. So far, I only came across one hacked lobby but rather not fall into victim of a hacked game anymore than that.

Bought Black ops and hated it, When i returned to MW2 i found it completely hackt and full off noobs abusing it. Hope this patch will scare those fools to another game.

I am happy to hear this minus some of the people above me. Black Ops is good, but its missing something, and I don't know if its maps or just the feel or something. I like alot of Black Ops, but it doesn't hold me like cod4 and mw2 did. granted 2 was starting to get old too, but so far on the 3arc games they do alot right but its still missing something for me. just something to change it up some.

Interesting because I thought MW2 was missing something, I would just be running around in that game a lot...getting kills for free. Whereas in BO, I have to use strategy.

Not saying it was for everyone but the way I play, I either rush or play defensive...and that game made it almost impossible for me to not rush in S&D. Because once those M203 fags get in their spots, it's hard to get in there.

BO did a lot of things right, no grenades in the first few secs as well as M203s...I have been killed by an M203, maybe once or twice in S&D in the past month, now THAT is amazing.

Never been killed in the beginning of the round by some random M203...AWESOME.

BO is complete, it fixed a lot of weird perk combinations that MW2 had. I could not live without the ninja perk in MW2 but I end up using all the perks in BO. It's just that goddamn strategic.

If someone has lag issues, just change your search preference to Local only. It will fix most of it.

I play hardcore on all of them, and so there is strategy. On all cod games theres the tubers and commandos. I don't know it its faster on mw2, as in gameplay, like its fast paced or something, and I said they did alot right, but the 3arc games start to lose me after a bit. its happened on BO and on WaW now. It was one of the reasons I stopped buying the games (the other is that a new cod game comes out every year now) and just gamefly them.
