cheers guys....managed to get it done last night. When I needed 1 more kill I would diving around the place ars* over tit trying to get it and then bang bang

Good, sniping in BC2 was way too easy, any scrub could do it and that's why you ended up with games with 10 snipers on each team. It's far better in BF3 and it sounds like it deters people who aren't very good from bothering - that's a big success well done DICE

It's weird because I think it's easier in BF3 lol. Largely because you have smaller snipers that are way more accurate and faster...whereas in BC2, I don't remember anything other than the bolt snipers.

Lol, no I mean cause I've been there before where I'm not good with some gun or anything and I just say it sucks :P then I realize the one that sucks is myself but doesn't stop me from improving on it, yea you should give it a go L96 is nice too.

So your argument is invalid atm :P and I agree with the rest, there's definitely some flaws but it is my favorite shooter too and can't get bored, it's like the more I play it, the more I need it. Sometimes I even lie to my gf so I can spend some more time playing BF3 lol.

I guess we all knew this was happening anyway, but from bf3blog:

While we still haven’t had any Battlefield 3 DLC announcement, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that DLC is in development at DICE — we just don’t know what it is. Now DICE has revealed via Twitter that they are currently play-testing “some impressive things in the studio”. The revelation came after a player asked regarding DLC announcement.

“Play-testing” usually means that the content is in the latter stages of development, and it’s not surprising that the DLC is somewhat “late” in regards to announcement and DLC: DICE usually releases DLC that’s a lot more feature-packed than just a few maps (unlike some other games, ahem). For example, the Vietnam DLC for Bad Company 2 didn’t just feature new maps, but new weapons, vehicles, soundtrack, and a whole new setting. We don’t know if the upcoming Battlefield 3 DLC will be that drastic, but it sure looks like it’ll be more than a few maps.

I'm guessing all those changes to the guns would go with this DLC. On top of that, they will introduce new vehicles, weapons and maps. Maybe throw in some co-op missions. Now I hate DLC but seeing as it's the only shooter this entire generation that I've been satisfied with, I will have to pitch in.

New maps, vehicles and weapons would do it for me, haven't even finished the co-op missions because whomever I play with always fucks up on Drop Em Like Liquid.

Trying to find co-op players online is like trying to find rocking horse shit.

Does PS3 version have a colour blind mode? If so use it it makes the HUD a bit easier to see I find.
check the kills and deaths top right as well.

DICE are already hard working on BF4 and Frostbite 3.0 thats why these patches are taking so long alltheir resources are being capitalised for this new super engien and game.

That's obviously the PC version. I have managed to find finished models from the PS3 port though.

Yeah, still plenty of time to enjoy BF3 as DICE won't be milking the game as hard as COD does releasing a new game every year so that's a great move, if BF4 is set to look that good they better save it for the next gen consoles.

As much as I like the style of graphics they picked for this game (not just for visuals but also for gameplay)...it also bugs me a lot. As someone said earlier in this thread, the issue with the contrast.

The game has made me go constantly through my TV settings to find the perfect balance between the game being playable (bright enough to see in the dark areas) and still being viable for watching movies (without looking too bright and thus ugly).

I've found a good combination now but it still bugs me and while this makes the game look more realistic...maybe realism is not something I want? I know that this game is nowhere near actual realism but really they need to do a better job next time because I don't get annoyed of being outside in real life as much as I do in this game lol. It's just too annoying at points.
