Well it is just a forum, I don't think it requires too much to do that, it would prove them weak if those hackers were to take down the servers and make the game not playable online.

PC users use the sam user and pass for the forums and our accounts to track our stats.

If they got the forum password then they have our Origin account password

I do not know how it works for PS3, do you have to create an EA acount and link it up to you PSN or do they use your PSN details?

Came accross this info about scopes/sights. To me it doesnt make sense to have red dot and holo different and I have often thought the zoom sens ratio is too high for some scopes.
I did notice some differences in ADS movements but I thought it was to do with weapons instead.

long story short: Every scope has a FOV, and a look-speed multiplier. Higher ratio = lower sensitivity

1x (rds): fov 40, speed 0.5: 80 ratio
1x (irons): fov 40, speed 0.5: 80 ratio
holo: fov 32, 0.32 speed: 100 ratio
3.4x: fov 20, 0.36 speed: 55.5556 ratio
4x: 17.2000001, 0.31 speed: 55.4838 ratio
6x: fov 11.6, 0.21 speed: 55.2380 ratio
7x: fov 9.9, 0.21 speed: 47.14 ratio
8x: fov 8.7, 0.16 speed: 54.37 ratio
12x: fov 5.8, 0.11 speed: 52.7272 ratio

I just worked out all the numbers of the scopes, and got some interesting results
1: Most scopes have a near 55 'ratio'
2: The iron sights/red dot sights have a much higher ratio, i.e. lower sensitivity in use. This makes sense, as it allows them to at least sort-of accurately with their reduced FOV/zoom level
3: The HOLO and 7x are completely out of sync in comparison to the other scopes/sights. And I don't know about you guys, but I've most definitily felt this. Whenever using these scopes, I won't be able to hit anything because I will always be either over or under-compensating. However, now there's an explanation for it
4: The ratio's slightly differ inbetween scopes (i.e 55.23 on the 6x, vs 54.37 on the 8x)

Since I started on bf3 again im hooked. No other game has had a look in since. Fantastic game and also completed the co op missions too with a pal and enjoyed them too.

Well, my fever started with Call Of Duy 3, Modern Warfare 1, 2, and Black Ops 1. But after Battlefieled 3 was released and I disliked the entire Call Of Duty due to not providing anything new samething over and over. I keep playing Battlefieled 3 the Rush mode like crasy. Game after game and keeps improving my skills. That game is talking all my time and Iam not being able to play my other games at all. Anyone like is that?

That's me on DUST 514. I gave up on standard military FPS games after that.

I really don't play anything else at the moment. That and EVE Online.

In the same boat. I have yet to find the same experiences BF3 offers. I've logged around 12-15hrs and level 25ish. I had it on release but didnt really give it time. The last few weeks has been where ive sunk most of the game time and no other game has had a look in. Still have afew in the wrapper like wwe13, resi6, far cry 3 etc that I got for xmas but whenever I get in I just want to get on bf3.

Every game is so different to the last its incomparable to anything ive played before. Im now pretty decent at piloting the jets and choppers too so that's opened up a huge new part of the game Id not come across before. Flying inbetween buildings, evading locked on missiles, having 2 buddies either side as gunners and trying to wrestle your 'copter after taking a hit is a right adrenaline rush

Even jusy capturing a point and jumping in a buggy with 2 other team mates to rush to get the next capture point is great fun... or on the other hand being a foot soldier, seeing a enemy buggy skipping across the dirt coming towards you and drawing out an rpg in the nick of time before your roadkill with an exploding buggy somersaulting over your head.

Theres so many different ways to play, huge amounts of content for the game (even without all the dlc), with hours to be lost in the battlefield whether it be on your own, in a squad or with people you know.

The only other game im currently playing is NFS most wanted on the vita when im away from the console to get on bf3. Even with the unplayed games ive got, they still won't be getting a look in for a while.

Took a long break but got back into it a couple months ago and have nearly doubled my play time (over 400 hours now)

Half the time it's just a rage fest what with the admins and plenty of lag and stuff but I just keep playing it. BF3 addict over here

I was never interested in the multiplayer for, Call of Duty 4 but Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops were played for hundreds of hours!. I was also starting to play, Battlefield 3 a lot when it first came out but after taking out dedicated servers and allowing anyone to purchase max upgrades, my interest plummeted.
