Wow, since when does being a nice person mean that they will be a good president? Obama is a very cool guy, but a shitty president.

Debates start on the 3rd. This will prob be what wins the election. Obama has the advantage going in and is generally a great orator so Romney has a good chance to exceed expectations. Withe 1001 debatesGOP had surely he has some practice. I'd say Romney has more debate practice but Obama is the better speaker. Let's see if that translates into a win.

Did anyone on PSU see the video CNN showed?
It was a speech Obama gave in June 2007.
This is not good for Obama. This video + shaky economy = possible disaster.Awww! Little baby bunny! <3

funny... in this thread... and even the 2008 thread... the righties spend all their time knocking Obama instead of of propping up their nominee.
Very telling.
Came across this today btw... pretty funny

Swing and miss.

projected at 85% chance of victory... 320 electoral vote... losing only one state that he won in 2008...
I expect that gap to close in the final weeks... but a good place to be 5 weeks out.
I don't think Romney has the skill necessary to create a comeback moment...Last edited by DayWalker; 10-03-2012 at 17:47.

I am stunned that some people appear to love their Playstation(1,2,3) or Xbox(360) more than I love the Denver Broncos.
Trust me, it's sad

... and does that retort explain why Obama is the focus... and not McCain or Romney???

There's really nothing that needs to be explained, you are looking at the past 4 years as evidence to support your opinion. Ultimately, it's your opinion, while my opinion is that it's common behavior from one election to the next... I bet if you look back at past elections you will see similar behavior.

Disappointed by Obama. At times, I felt like he was just rambling and was taking too many pauses...usually this guy's a master at debate.

Boring debate.
Mittens gets the nod. He came out swinging and Obama didn't counter until the debate was half over.

American opinions? I don't really feel as if I deserve an opinion on the subject but from what I watched Obama wasn't speaking as confidently or with as much fluidity as Romney. But neither looked to have the edge over the other!
From my week here so far it looks completely different to how it is being advertised in the UK. Back home they make Romney look like a complete jackass whereas here it looks a lot closer and not as peachy for Obama as they make it look like. Who are you guys voting for? Four more years of Obama or do you want change?I Like Games.

I think Romney did well, Obama could've done better, and that I thought Romney could have been more specific about his plans. Who did better? No idea. Like the poster above me said, I couldn't tell who had the edge over the other.
Welp, it's a good thing there are three of these.Last edited by Bio; 10-04-2012 at 03:53.

Yup, Romney seemed stronger than Obama... comments from Bill Maher on twitter...
"Obama made a lot of good points tonight. Unfortunately, most of the were for Romney"
"I can't believe I'm saying this, but Obama looks like he DOES need a teleprompter"
Just debates, IMO it's always best to look at records, but as the American public treats these elections as a beauty contest it looks to me like Romney took round 1."you are both the product and the architect of your environment"

Obama needed a Clinton scandal tonight. He was sluring and fuckin' up his sentences. Maybe it was nerves.

Holy shit! I totally forgot and missed the debate. So far i'm hearing Romney shined and Obama didn't. Hopefully i'll catch the one next week. One thing to keep in mind though is elections aren't won on debates alone. If that were the case Obama wouldn't be president and Romney wouldn't of been the nominee.

That debate was a snooze fest. I got nothing from it except, "my plan is better because duh, naaaaaa" followed by, "but my plan is uh huh, derp"
A complete waste of the American peoples' time. Furthermore, none of the other candidates running had any presence due to those oh so lovely rule changes. What a crock of shit.

I thought Romney was more interesting than Obama, but apparently Romney lied more than Obama. So I guess it's a wash.

If you idiots vote in Romney, I will personally fly to America and punch every American square in the face.
You have been warned.
