He's black always gonna be black no matter what the precentage of race he has almost everyone has a little bit of some other race in their genetic make up. A job application askes if you caucasion/non hispanic, asian, hispanic non white, black/african american non hispanic or other. If he wasnt president no one would be debating whether his black white or mixed. I myself am black indian and irish fair skin and green eyes run in my family but let me try to tell someone im not black.

Well, that makes sense. His dad was completely black and his mom completely white. But he is considered African American for his records.

It wasn't close by an electoral vote, but the people made their voices hears. It was only around 2.5 million voters difference to sit here and try and say that Americans like this president; you're forgetting about the other half of the country that don't like this President.

C'mon, if anything, our military is the first thing that should be cut.

Fact is, we need to make significant cuts to reduce the debt and adding $2 trillion to military spending will not help. The more the the military is cut, the less entitlements need to be cut, which have to be significantly cut as well.

Obviously Obama doesn't have a good plan to reduce the debt either, (Taxing the rich will not help nearly enough to make a difference). But it annoys me how the modern Republicans like Romney go on about small government and yet still want to increase military spending (among other things).

If we have the most power, there is no need to lower it to the standards of a country that might attack us.

Increase spending? No. Decrease spending? Not enough to weaken us significantly.

Still makes no sense that Obama disabled so many of our nukes.

if they come together much more can be done. This guy would of not been reelected if he didn't accomplish or won't do anything. That argument doesn't really hold water anymore. I've said it long before this election started. The demographics of this country is changing and republicans are still stuck in the 80's. It's difficult to win without minority votes, and letting a few have speaking spots at a convention isn't fooling anyone. All they did was energize Obama's base with all the extremist talk, calling him the food stamp president, and letting guys like trump go out and do what he did. It's time to stand up to that and all the extremism. You don't have to like the man but you have to respect the office. This doesn't go for all republicans, but to the ones who were guilty of it.

Romney was a flawed candidate from the very beginning starting when he refused to released his taxes. From there it was all downhill. You can't claim to be one person in the primaries and then in a general election do a 180 and think people won't notice. You would think he would have a better plan because this guy has been running for president for about 7 years. All he did was focus on the bad economy and it didn't work because the truth is that most Americans still put most of the blame on Bush for the state of the economy. This is a fact. Stop using fear to try to get votes.

Its time for Republicans to accept defeat and both parties need to work together with the president for the good of the country.

Do you not understand that Romney can simple go back to being the multi-millionaire of a successful company? He makes ten times when Obama makes now. If Obama lost...oh thats right, he hasn't done anything for him to go back too.

Why should Republicans try to cross lines, when Democrats would never do it?

It's not about money though. Neither will never have to worry about it again. The pic was about trying to use fear to get votes.

If Obama lost...oh thats right, he hasn't done anything for him to go back too.
Not true. Being president opened even more doors for him. Besides, if he lost he will still be referred to as Mr. President. That's something Romney will never have. Even with all his money.

Why should Republicans try to cross lines, when Democrats would never do it?
They both need to cross party lines more and stop playing politics. Republicans took this to another level when they vowed not do anything to help Obama get reelected even before he was sworn in. That sort of politics only hurts people they have sworn to help.

But a lot of them don't like Romney either. Did they vote for him because they like him or they just don't like the president? We are a diverse nation and both partys should appeal to all the people. That isn't happening with the republican party. They have to try and get more than the white evangelical vote. That isn't enough to get them by.

Generally speaking I'm really happy with the small step of progress the US has made during this election. Marijuana legalized in two states and gay marriage in three, and the first openly gay senator is elected.

You could drop the budget to 25% and make reforms on how the money is spent, specifically in regards to contracted companies and manufacturers, and we'd still be the hegemonic state.

    You serious?

1400 nukes gone from the world, only half of which are ours. We still have to nuke every country more than once...how many times do you need to be able to kill everybody to stop worrying about having a bigger stick?

Except there won't be any country to protect if we go under due to financial reasons. And one could argue that putting our troops in nearly every country is doing us more harm than good.

Come on dude. You come off as just being bitter just because the guy won. That "he did nothing" argument doesn't fly anymore. He did some things but much more can be accomplished if politics were put aside. Lets hope that this was a wake up call to congress.

Democrats would never help with a Republican, even if it was for the good of the country, and vice versa with Republicans to Democrats. The less Obama can do to the country, the better. Just have to ride out the next four years, and pray for something better.
That's nonsense. They do help each other, just not enough. Especially on certain issues. Both have to make more compromises. Riding out for the next four years won't cut it. The people want compromise now.

As if Obama's campaign didn't focus on instilling fear of Romney to get re-elected.
Of course they both play politics. I have said both sides are guilty of that.

there were 2 things on why Romney lost it.

1.) admitting to / WANTING to go to war with Iran (people don't want another war unless it's necessary)

2.) Romney pointed the finger at China for money manipulation when the problem relies 100% on the USA, not China.

regardless who won, Romney was going to spend more money and Obama is going to spend more money. doesn't matter.

There were many reasons why Romney lost. The biggest one is that his party doesn't appeal to all the people.
