I am stunned that some people appear to love their Playstation(1,2,3) or Xbox(360) more than I love the Denver Broncos.
Trust me, it's sad

RON PAUL!!! Charlie sheene as vp. How great would it be if obama couldn't score the dem nomination? These last 12 years remind me of a certain lewis black joke. "A republican in congress stands up and says 'i have a ****ty idea!!!' And then a democrate says 'and I can make it ****tier'"

i just don't think it will make a differnce, they already doubt his legitimacy, a piece of paper wouldn't change that, they'd just say its photoshopped. So i don't care if they show it or not because it won't change the debate at all.

First off. I hope Trump finds out that Barry was not born here. It'll will not only get him kicked out of office, But remove any changes he made.
And second. I honestly don't see many canididates out there that caught my eye. Maybe Adam West...think thats his name. And Palin..a lot because she wants to start drilling herem instead of keep buying overseas. Maybe she'll disband the EPA.

Try hanging out in Bejing for a while, if you don't wear a mask you'd probably come down with black lung. I don't want to live somewhere that you can't breath the air, can't eat the fish due to chemical's in the water, can't drink the ground water.... etc etc etc. If there are no rules on this stuff, and no one to enforce the rules, what's to stop people from taking the easiest route to get rid of noxious chemicals, air pollutants, etc?

Well, they are obviously doing something right, and China is in a much better financial position than they were before, they are sprinting into the modern era, but they are lacking when it comes to environmental controls and the people (not only in China) are suffering because of it.
Really though, it's likely something that every nation went through during industrialization, which is where they currently are, things will change in the coming years in regards to this topic."you are both the product and the architect of your environment"

That is actually part of the debate going on in China between the New Right and New Left. There is a great book called What China Thinks. Its a book on the intellectual debates in China and capitalism is one of the first. The interesting thing is, both the New Left and New Right embrace captialism but slighly different forms of capitalsim known as Pearl River which is laizzez faire and Yellow River which appears to be more environmentally and social concious capitalism. The current president Hu Jintao seems to favor the New Left, and his successor favors the New Left too, but the successor of the 2nd in command (can't remember his name now) favors the New Right. So it will be interesting to see which path the economy develops along the next few years esp post Hu.

It's funny about Trump playing the birther's card
1: Hawaiian law would jail him for trying to post birth certificates or lackthereof of obama.
3: Obama and/or Hilary would have won anyway because McCain was born in Panama Canal. Defaulting him.
Palin I don't think has much of a chance because she can't make money while running, and well it's easy to topple her in the general. She's one crazy bird. You can make Palin jokes all day.
The no name's that have been getting some eyebrows in the GOP are all overly conservative in a general as well, and no name recognition. Especially now that the midwest has poked the sleeping union giant. They'll have no luck there anymore.
But then a young unknown senator from chicago out of nowhere became President...
It's going to be interesting, given that the generally battleground midwest has well...been a-holes of GOP-ism. Unions maybe going to be the anti-tea baggers then.Last edited by kuku; 04-16-2011 at 04:21.

China's a complicated situation because it's unique and similar at the same time. The closest we have is Japan (1960s-1980s) comparisons.
China is debt free but extremely reliant on it's export and most importantly it's pegging to the dollar. The second problem is it's restate problem, which is reminiscing of the Japan demise of 1990.
There are tangents and there are convergence's. Like their military strengthening and muscling, to their global strong arming, to their imminent real-estate bubble( oh it's massively huge a easily can be Japan-fied), to their economic problems.
The only thing we can take from china is what happens when(and we know it's going to) their real estate bubble bursts. Japan never recovered from theirs as we know.
And how the US and the rest of the world deal with China's export strong arming. It's heading to a stand-off give or take 3-5years. My bet is we are going to just choke them and move to vietnam or something, as things get more rowdy.
