    Pulling for Santorum.

Let's see where his stance on social issues gets him. And then let's move on from that type of candidate... enough is enough...

I say lets not waste the spot light on that idiot anymore. I've had enough of him to be honest, he can't seem to give a speech or answer without some how tying some religious nonsense to it, to make it sound legit when in reality his logic is flawed in any and every which way. SMH ugh.

    not gonna lie...

I'm pretty entertained by the new GOP talking point: "Gas is so expensive! Gah!"

Looks like the shoe is on the other foot... I'll have to go back and review what their gamplan was in the past under the same criticism...

Not 100% sure at this point, but I'm leaning his way.
Well, that's your prerogative. I don't blame you for not wanting to call them trash. I however, will not hold my thoughts or my tongue. But really, except for Ron Paul, they're all Obama-lites. Their voting records show as much. Romney has Romney Care, Santorum has the Santorum bailout votes and Gingrich has Fannie and Freddy. All three of them were investigated on Ethics issues and all three of them have massive ties to lobbyist groups. All three of them have their budget votes too so all three lose on that issue alone.

Paul is the only one i'd vote for now. i disagree with him on several fronts, but the important ones he is spot on. Gingrich is down and out i hope and although i believe santorum to be a good christian and family man, his foreign policy ideas are awful
Hm Santorum is complete trash. He's a lousy excuse for a Christian and is only placating. That fucker has to contend with his stance against right to work laws which have come into the limelight. On that front alone, I think Santorum is unelectable.

Anyone else paying attention to Greece and Spain? I know it may not interest the average voter here in the States, but if we payed a little attention we could learn what can happen when governments rack up a nations debt (i.e. USA) irresponsibly. We might not be there yet but we sure as hell will be soon if nothing is done.

Indeed. Greece is worst off, they are on the brink of a revolution. A bailout was approved to try and stabilize the situation out there, but in reality they are just delaying the inevitable. Its going to be interesting to fallow what the people do in that country, their elections are in April.

I enjoy watching Ron Paul's debates, he reminds me of Nigel Farage in British politics:

The problem with greece is entitlements. Greece has crazy labor laws. Its illeagal to work more than 5 days a week. they get huge breaks and major benifits. They are portesting because nobody can pay for the outrageous things they get, but when the cuts come, they freak out. you can't have a balanced budget and keep all the entitlement shit they want.

Germany prob has the best economy. In europe at the moment. Exactly why the EU should be disolved because when you think about it. Countries like Germany are propping up Greece. You didn't make the bad economic decisions but still pay for them. Let the govt. Collapse then go in with humanitarian aid to help the poor, not bailouts to keep the rich rich.

Yup, they been living beyond their means... now where have I heard that before .

Ben May, Greek economist at think tank Capital Economics, said: "Their mistake was to go out, borrow money and use it to fund huge wage growth, rather than pay down its already substantial debts."

Greece went on a spending spree, allowing public sector workers' wages to nearly double over the last decade, while it continued to fund one of the most generous pension systems in the world. Workers when they come to retire usually receive a pension equating to 92 per cent of their pre-retirement salary.

Greece is going to be in a mess for a long time to come.

It is the sacrificial lamb to keep the Eurozone together. Papademos (former president of the ECB) was put in place (not by election) to pass the austerity measures demanded by the EU. If Greece left the Eurozone it could reinstate the drachma and devalue its currency, but the Eurozone won't allow it to leave because it fears a domino effect across its member states.

If the Eurozone gets through this intact, it will be at the expense of Greece, and democracy.

Man, to be real with you economics is so... Out there. You get a Keynesian in the room with an Austrian economist and both will sound equally reasonable and appalling to you.

Economics is really an organic thing.. We'll just see where the ball rolls. But we are on fiat currency (most everyone is I believe), which means we have alot of control over value\what we owe and the nations wealth.

The entire study of economics is BS.

Having said that, I tend to agree more so with the Austrian line of thinking.

Good movie, but I don't think it tells the whole story, and really seems to focus on one specific aspect. It does a good job on focusing on what was going on during the financial crisis, but it doesn't spend much time on the ENTIRE back story that leads up to it.

Honestly, I'm not sure that an hour and a half film is anywhere near long enough to tell that story, need a multipart documentary to get it out there.
