What are the issues the right has may i ask? And Gingrich and Santorum supporting Romney will be about as funny as Clinton suppoting obama afterwards. Remember they had a pretty brutal fight in 08. Middle class is just a buzz word. It has no meaning. People living at the poverty line self-identify as middle class. So do people making 250k a year. you have to be more specific with who romeny doesn't identify with. Honestly, obama will have a hard time connecting IMO. He comes of as elitist alot. Doesn't use collquialisms often. He comes off as the white collar highly educated man just as much as Romeny, differnce is, romeny will pander to whoever he needs. Remeber his sudden switch to "yalls" and "grits" in the south?

@DayWalker. A disenchanted voter might be one who sits at home on election day. They won't go to romney necessarily, but we have a GOP that wants nothing more than to oust obama. betta bet your ass they are gonna get out to vote.

Not even close. Hillary and Obama were nothing like those clowns were. They had heated debates as they should but they weren't going after each other every other day in the media like they were. It wasn't as personal for them as it was for the rightys. Hillary ended up serving with the Obama administration. Can you see Romney picking newt or santorum for his. I think not.

That has been obvious since day 1. That's why a lot of people don't take the right wing seriously. They will just about do or say anything to get in the whitehouse. They still haven't gotten over 2008 yet. Got beaten by a young inexperienced senator from Chicago....lol

And, if Obama is re-elected he will probably continue to dump billions of dollars in failed green energy companies, push through the employee free choice act, continue to try to drive private insurers out of the health care market (because his goal isn't to give people choices, it's to create a government run health care system), submit budgets that don't receive a single vote of support in the House, and continue to grow the size and power of the federal government... just to name a few things.

that strategy worked really well for Kerry and Dole.

And according to polls, indies and women have swung heavily in favor of Obama... so I am not sure banking on them sitting at home is a good bet.

Santorum, a conservative, that's a good joke. Nothing more than guy who panders to the hardcore/evangelical Christians with questionable views/statements for everyone else. The only conservative in the running is Ron Paul.

And look at his delegate count. If he considered the only real conservative then its even worse than I thought.

He is not the ideal person to spread his message/platform. His son does a better job in that regard.

LOL. This is just rich. Yet, the 800LB gorilla in the room is being ignored while he quietly gathers the delegates. The funny thing about this election season is that both the democrats and republicans are in for a rude awakening. Ron Paul is really raking in the disenchanted voters on both sides of the fence. He may or may not win (never said he would anyway) but he'll be sure to mop the floor with you all when he surprises everyone with just how much traction the libertarian agenda has garnered. I lay odds that come November, both the establishment parties will have shrunk by a large margin. This is especially the case with the republicans. You all will see something major go down come time for the brokered convention. I guaran-damn-tee-ya. Just sit back, relax and enjoy the show.

Do I really have to spell it out? I'll explain it in steps then.

    1. States hold primaries or caucuses.
    2. People vote in these elections which ironically are nothing more than straw polls.
    3. After elections, the republican PARTY says, "you all can go and now it's time to do party business".
    4. Ron Paul voters elect to stay behind for the party business and push to become precinct and county delegates.
    5. Ron Paul voters become the majority of the delegates and move to elect their own to become the majority of state delegates except in states where delegates are decided in winner-take-all primaries.
    6. The Ron Paul state delegates where the process is successful, (It's been happening in the majority of states i.e. Iowa, New Hampshire, Vermont, South Carolina, Nevada, etc...) then get to cast their votes at the brokered convention.

I'll just say now. Romney and Gingrich don't have as much as what the media is portraying. Delegates matter, not the actual straw polls they pass for elections. The republican party is in for a rude awakening.

What's even better is that Ron Paul, his campaign staff and the supporters are playing by the rules the establishment itself set up. Every bit of it is legal and on the up and up. Ron Paul, his campaign staff and the supporters are using the establishment's own game against the establishment. LOL. It's all just too rich.

Ron Paul will never be president. The republican party will make sure of that. He may have a supportes(like any candidate) but nothing that will put him at the top of any polls. Even his so called military following isn't as big as people think. I like the guy but he is and will continue to be a non factor.

tough luck. Look man. I never said Paul would win. I just said that everyone is in for rude awakening because no one and I mean no one is going to get away with ignoring him and still win the election. Ron Paul is poised to a lot of votes away from both parties.

By everyone you mean conservatives I guess? I doubt Paul has pulled any votes from any candidates. Especially from liberals. If he did then why is he at the bottom of the delegate count. He is even lower than nasty newt. That should tell you something. When he starts calling Obama names and criticizing him every chance he gets, his numbers will shoot up among the extreme right wing.

I disagree. I run the listserve of college republicans at my university and I can say most support Ron Paul. I also know the leaders of the college democrats and we've talked about this before. He's got some good support in there too. Republicans like him because he will cut the budget and reduce the size of government. Liberals like him for his views on the wars and stance on drug sentencing. If you read at all what morganator said you'd realize the delegate count is wanly. I doubt he has enough to win but he'll ruffle some feathers at the convention.

You doubt? lol. Ruffle who's feathers? Most attending that convention won't vote for Obama anyway. Where are the real leaders in the party? Everyone is just gonna settle for Romney. If he fails who is gonna step up and possibly battle Clinton in 2016? As for democrats voting for Paul, that number is a very very small number among a certain age group.
The convention will be just like any other convention. Just a bunch of speeches saying the same old things they've been saying since 2008.

Exactly. Regardless of what anyone thinks and I mean ANYONE, Ron Paul will pull votes away from both parties. He may not win and I never said he would but, he will do some serious damage to a lot of egos in both parties; especially the republicans. And anyone thinking the republicans will win without Ron Paul's support is delusional.

he won't. Like i said before this convention will be just like all the other ones. Everyone will rally together and give anti-Obama speeches. Democrats will rally for the president and against Republicans. Just more politics to divide the country.
