Considering how you need an ID to do pretty much anything, requiring one or voting (especially if people get free or heavily subsidized id's) really isn't a big deal at all.

It's funny how you guys cling to the voter suppression idea. I'd bet if you handed those minorities free id's, and registered them to vote on the spot they still wouldn't be likely to participate.

And going with what was said above, seeing as how they tend to vote along party lines and are not likely to do much research on why they are voting for X candidate's, I don't see their votes as helping.

I'm a minority and I've been voting since I was 18. I also know plenty of other minorities who vote with the free registeration. That's just not true.

Their votes helping what? They're people, US citizens like you. They have their own opinions and beliefs and have the right to vote to state who they want leading the country.

Speaking of registeration, I just moved from one county to another. It's probably likely the voter registeration process for me this time is going to be different, thanks to the new voter registeration laws. They most likely will effect my state.

I would love to see the science that says a woman's body will reject sperm in cases of rape. If there was truth to the comment about a woman's body actually rejecting pregnancy in the cases of rape, then saying "legitimate rape" would be accurate, but I seriously doubt there is any actual science to back up his stance.

well some of have know that his "science" was BS since we were pre-teens.... so I think it goes without saying that it was retarded.

Still though, it's interesting how people are cuing in on that one specific part about "legitimate rape", at least that's the way it seems... when science actually points to the opposite of what he said.

I don't know here, like DW said, we've known since we were 11 lol. First sex ed class that logic goes out the window. The most ridiculous part of this is the "legitimate rape" thing to me. Kind of harkens back to Rush Limbaugh and his slut comments a while back. Some of the Neo-cons have a very hard time reconciling their beliefs with feminist perspectives. The other thing that annoys me, is who is this congressman? seriously, nobody outside of his state knew he existed before this. the guy was a know-nothing nobody. It only blew up so much because the media craves these bs. controversies. His position is obviously so defunct nobody will follow it or agree, yet suddenly all republicans are tainted by this because it was blown up but i can't think of a single republican now who says "yea thats right"

And that so many Democrats/Liberals don't have a problem with late term abortions amazes me! That's what makes us human man, we all have different opinions. Some people just don't agree with ending a (potential) child's life regardless of how it was conceived, so the difference in opinion really boils down to what constitutes a human life. I for one can truly understand both sides of the argument, but clearly, as a nation, we are split on this subject.

Well, he does have a point though. I know it's not the point many on here want to read, but that's them breaks. I have to agree with him in all honesty. A vote cast in ignorance, whether honest or willful, is no excuse and is a wasted vote. Similarly, a vote cast based on campaign promises is also a wasted vote. People need to look at the record of who they are vetting or plan to vote for before they actually vote for them. It's why every candidate except one has failed this election cycle and will not be getting my vote.

Agreed on all counts. I'm a libertarian through and through. I may be a registered Republican but that's only because it was the only way I could vote in my state's primary. And as far as I'm concerned, Romney is a fucking traitorous dog that needs to be put down like an animal with rabies.

Oh by the way, CNN keeps harping on an Obama ad that says Romney stated something about class size. Turns out the Obama ad is misleading, as revealed by CNN.
