Need help building an online gaming only PC

I'm ready to get back into PC gaming. My goals are to run games like Crysis 2 and BF3 in max settings. I'll need everything but monitor, mouse and keyboard. I'm also exclusively using an Astro surround headset. Oh, and I have a copy of Windows 7 too. This will only be used for online multiplayer games, mainly first person shooters.

Reliability is very important to me but the computer can sound like a freight train for all I care since i'm using a headset 100% of the time.

I would like to keep this under $1k but honestly, I want to be able to run the 2 games mentioned above at max and if that makes cost go up, so be it.

    Please advise and thank you
    Bob

Don't know what you're budget is, but this cost my around $700 + $50 for a Samsung Spinpoint 7200rpm 1TB HDD from Fry's.

I've never built my own but a friend recommended this site where you pick the parts, someone else puts it's together and sends it to you. I'm told they have awesome customer service and if you have problems they'll happily help you fix it.

I dunno what you personally want to do but there ya go. Sorry I don't know all the technical stuff about pc parts.

It's a good build. I might consider dropping the GPU down a bit and going for an i5 or i7. Either way, thats a beast.

RAM can be upgraded to 8gb if you want or 500gb to 1tb HDD.
Parts are so cheap in US, its ridiculous.

make sure you get a good case.

arguably themost important thing as a decent one will last you years.

Id recomend heavily what i have currently, an Antec 902.

insane cooling and really well put together.
