Nice, yeah, the same here, I did a second run, pulled the crossovers, running them active off the Sundown 100.4
Hey, I've got a question: I ran 4-gauge (from New Konceptz) power to the trunk. Is it pretty same to run that 100.4, and another, power efficient mono amp for a sub using that power run? I think it would stay under ~130amps total max draw.

I guess if it was a pretty small sub amp you could. The 100.4 can pull, what, 90 amps? I guess if you kept the sub amp to 3-400 watts which would probably be around 30-40 amps. Assuming you're talking about the Kolossus Fleks its rated for 150 amps at 20 feet. Considering your amps rarely pull max current I'm sure you'd be fine.

Awesome, thanks. That seems to corroborate what I've been reading!

Thanks!
I came really close to getting a supercharger for the S on a recent GP, but decided against it. It's one of those things that really [potentially] introduces issues with very little return - especially since it sits in the garage most of the time. My two main uses: cruising and track events wouldn't even be helped much by it, figured just stay with the glorious little NA motor
Funny, I was semi-ruminating over an M3 or 335 Sport convertible recently (I believe you have a 335 yourself). Several reasons why that I can bore people with upon request

I had a 330i...here is a pic from my vault:

Now I have a 135i convertible (the bottom pic makes it look like a dull gray, but it is actually metallic. I probably had to calm down the sun via photoshop).

Ahh, OK, good pic!
Sweet! I've shopped those several times - I totally dig on the x35 cars with the T/TT inline 6s - you can pick up 75-100HP with a JB, exhaust. I know the 1 series is kind of a love/hate, but I'm on the love side. A buddy of mine has a 1M Coupe on order, metallic orange, should be pretty spectacular.
I hear you on the color - we had an X5 4.4i that would look flat in pictures, but was a metallic medium silver. I've got a few photos of it somewhere, just not posted on our bucket (maybe I'll do that and add to the thread for fun).
The T4R is even harder to photograph, it's got all sorts of color pigmets (blue/pink), in a dark metallic base. Here's a pic from down at the point (funny photo, we got it from Lighthouse Toyota, they were actually going to use the pic in their marketing material, i.e., the lighthouse in the background...) where it looks charcoal, but then check out the closeup of the mirror and you can see the color complexity:

So true. I remember reading a lot of writers that did not like the style.know the 1 series is kind of a love/hate, but I'm on the love side
The funny part is that this car gets more compliments than every car I have owned combined. I have had the car about 3 years and just in the last week I have had two strangers compliment it (with the top up). One guy pulled up next to me in a huge Ford truck and was motioning to me to roll down my window as we were waiting for a light to change. I though he needed directions, but he simply yelled "I love your car". The same week, I was driving to a buddy's house and when I got out of the car, a kid from down the street yelled "Mister...Mister..I love your car". When I have the top down, I get comments all the time. I also got a thumbs up from some lady this week, but she may have just liked me...so I did not count that one.
Yep, it is strange how the lighting can really make the difference in how these metallic paints look in photos.

Haha, yeah, top-down-convertibles do attract extra attention.
I'm always getting people doing a walkaround on the S - just a couple of weeks ago, we were in this Mexican/Tex-Mex joint, front seats by the window, so I can see this older guy walking around, actually down on his knees trying to read the logo on the wheel caps (aftermarket SSR), and I don't know if you noticed, but the front and rear badges are custom (red/black S logo vs. the Honda badge), so that +really+ throws people off.
I kind of swore off BMW after having three (Z3, 328Ci, X5), but they've got some really compelling rides, especially all their convertible options."Remember, you're young only once but you can be immature forever."

I wish I had some older pics of my 2000 GMC Sierra. I had a good bit of stuff done to it but the wheels corroded and won't hold air so I kind of let it go. I put a lot of work into that truck.

I was very proud of this vehicle because I did most of the work myself minus the sound system. Plus it was my first vehicle. I hate that I can't find any decent pictures of it from the past. Oh was it pretty. Nick named it the Blue Beast.

7.3L! the ****? a freaking tank

Since ive got a new job much closer to my home ive considered to sell my car and get a Audi S3 instead.
Not sure about the color yet but here is a pic of a sexy (imo) white S3 that ive taken onto my "wishlist".
Does anyone have experience with this car or suggestions for similar cars in this class?
The 135i would be nice but its a little expensive and also needs more gas then the S3.Last edited by Beast of Bourbon; 03-31-2011 at 08:50.

I <3 Audis. Just something I really like about most models.
My first car was actually my mom's Audi that she gave me until it started having more problems than I could afford. It was a 1991 Audi 100.

I don't own it yet but I'll be buying my Moms 2007 pontiac vibe for my first car. 10 grand. Split in half with my twin.

I usually wouldn't buy an american brand but it actually has a toyota engine in it. Win for me.

BMW:
135i
3 series sedan
3 series estate (wagon)
Mercedes Benz:
C class sedan
C class Estate (wagon)
Based on my experiences with my friends 335xi and other european cars I think the 3 series (either flavor) will be your best bet. Very good driving dynamics with a good amount of interior space for his size. Audi's are usually more intensive with their maintenance in comparison to mercedes and bmw. A bonus for you is that the next 3 series should be out next yr so you can wait for that or get a niece deal on the 2011 3 series.
Its essentially a remodeled toyota matrix.
