if they are to have the conference at 2pm japan standard time then thats at 1am here in usa eastern standard time,they are 13 hours ahead of us here its almost noon in japan right now..the 9am est is way off or am i not getting something right..lol

Less than one hour to go. There will be no live streams or blogs from what I understand.

Hopefully it hits the web shortly after.

There are people who translate live press conferences as it goes on so I dunno. If nothing else, there might be people who speak japanese who can highlight the important bits through blogging.

PSN will be back sometime this week and will come with a system update that will make you change your password.

PSN will have a "Welcome Back" program, that will have free content based on region.

PSN+ members will also get 1 free month.

From Mark Macdonald's twitter. He is at the press conference and all this info was handed out.

I think i misread his tweet and everyone gets 1 free month of ps+ and more stuff to be announced.

I think the ps+ stuff is futile. I don't want to download some demos. it would be better if they gave us some ingame-stuff or
psStore-vouchers so I could at least buy a full version game....

Just updated the OP with the press release. Personally, I'm happy to get some solid information, and a timescale to things coming back online. I'm still not happy all this has happened, but at least they are trying to make up for it with some goodies and 'more' security.
