What's Your Stance on The Welcome Back Gifts Sony is Giving Us?

I think Sony doesn't need to give us anything at all. I only demand from them to increase the security. All the goodies we are getting are welcome but again they don't have the obligation to do this. They suffered a huge attack, they aren't the ones to blame for this denial of service, and I think they managed things in a professional way. Two weeks without PSN means nothing when it comes to take the appropiate measures to avoid this taking place again. What do you think?
PLAYING: DRIVER SAN FRANCISCO, TEAM ICO HD COLLECTION, BF3 BETA.
GETTING: UNCHARTED 3, BATTLEFIELD 3, TWISTED METAL, LAST GUARDIAN (RELASE DATE?)

They also did not need to give me this, but I appreciate the noble gesture. Kudos to you, SONY. When you were taking so much crap from other gamers, Anon and the pro-CFW crowd, you took the high road. I will support SONY till the day I die, or until they merge with a rival company.

I feel sorry for them yes , but Sony should have had our data encrypted in the first place.

The silence from Sony was the worst thing.

I don't care about freebies I just want to play online.

Add me for some KZ3 GgT-Wolves-FC

This entire sordid episode wouldn't have occured had they not antagonised rogue individuals while at the same time lacking robust security. Quite simply Sony need to be a proactive rather than a reactive organisation.

However, as mentioned in another thread, the only suitable compensation to all of us would have been to provide free credit reporting coverage for up to 10 years for every PSN account.

I don't think Sony owe us anything. Just fix the problem so we can all get on with it

How about "I don't want free stuff, and I do not care what they do with security since I am done with PSN"

As much as I looooove getting free stuff... I don't think Sony HAD to go ahead and do this whole appreciation thing. I mean the attack was unprecedented, right? There's no one to blame (but the people behind this )So yeah.. good job Sony.

It's difficult to know exactly how you feel about free stuff when you have no idea what exactly that free stuff will be yet. Sony don't need to do this (did Microsoft give anything away for free when they had two weeks of problems with XBOX Live?) and so it's a nice little gesture and appreciated but I may not have any desire for anything they give us so I'm not really bothered that they are giving us something and I wouldn't be bothered if they didn't either. I just want to race my GT5 cars online again
