And apprenty so happens to be that he and 3 of his mates are in on this select few?

The date/time etc makes it seem real, and one would assume he hasnt simply used an old video. But AFter Effects/photoshop is a great and easy tool to use. Also having prerecorded a previous film from this date last year could be a possibility.
